BetOnline Weekend -- - posted Thursday, May. 3rd, 2012 by IE

If you aren’t in on the action this weekend, please check your pulse. The betting board is absolutely loaded. Proof:

Kentucky Derby

So who are you on for Saturday’s 138th running of the Kentucky Derby? Don’t ask me who I like – I know diddly-poo about the horses. But my man Pete Mitchell, on the other hand, knows his stuff… dude is going for his third Derby winner is a row; click here for proof. Remember, once the races are over, you’ll get up to a 7% rebate, even on the always popular Win-Place-Show bets. Check BetOnline.ag Friday to see who Mr. Mitchell is picking and then place your winners in the Racebook. Still kicking myself for only putting $5 on his Animal Kingdom tip at 15-1 last year…

NBA

Two NBA Playoff games to pound tonight. In the first game the Heat will try to take a 3-0 series lead as they are five-point chalk in New York. Looks like we’ll be rooting for the Knicks tonight as the majority of the early cash is on LeBron and company. It’s hard to blame the early bettors as the Heat are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) the last five times they visited the Big Apple. In the nightcap the Thunder are three-point road dogs as they visit the defending champion Mavericks. The last six times these teams met, the Thunder went 5-1 straight-up, but covered only one time.*

NHL

There are also two NHL games to bet on tonight, at reduced juice no less. First up the Flyers are +105 dogs in North Jersey to take on the Devils (-116). The Flyers are 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog, but the Devils are 6-1 in their last seven home games. The winner takes the two game to one lead. Then out west, the Kings look to take a 3-0 series lead as they are -115 chalk versus the visiting Blues (+104).*

Fighting

After you are done counting your Derby winnings Saturday, tune into Fox to watch a very good UFC card. In the main event, always entertaining Nate Diaz is +200 versus Jim Miller (-240). Johny Hendricks (-120) vs. Josh Koscheck (+100) should be a good one too. After the action in the octagon, there are two good bouts in the ring. Shane Mosley is a healthy +600 dog versus Saul Alvarez (-900) and then Miguel Cotto (+500) will take on Floyd Mayweather Jr. (-700). I’m trying to decide between Mayweather inside the distance (+170) and Mayweather by Unanimous Decision (+115).*

Believe it or not there is more. We’ll have more MLB games at 10-cent juice than anyone else… Tiger, McIlroy, and Lefty will all be swinging it at the Wells Fargo Championship… and there are five soccer games to bet Live.

Get your bets in early and enjoy the games!
