when i joined bestline sportsbook, i was told that i would get a free play as part of a sign-up bonus.
today i started to use the free play & placed a bet with a clerk named herby. herby told me if i won the bet, which i did, the bonus amount would be placed into the account along with the winnings. when i went to their site, to see what the lines were in tonights games, i noticed that they didn't grade the play. i called bestline on the phone, & the clerk told me that they grade the play at the end of the day. i told them no problem, but i mentioned to him, as part of a re-affirmation that the bonus & the winnings would be credited to my account. he told me no, just the winnings. i repeated what herby told me, that both the bonus & the winnings would be credited to my account. he told me herby was wrong. this clerk then transferred me to the supervisor, sergio, who also told me that herby was wrong. i asked sergio, why didn't herby tell me that when i placed the bet? he told me he didn't know. i said good answer. i then hung up on sergio.

over the years i have read about questionable business practices that take place in the offshore books. i am not really concerned that the bonus was applied to my account or not. but i am annoyed that these clerks, who answer the phones & are a representative of the book, does not know anything about their product. to me that is poor management.

i will now have to think about pulling my money out of this book.

Al,

I agree with you here. The only reason I entered the NCAAF contest was to support Madjack's, other than that I wouldn't have deposited my $ there. I called them as they requested I call them for instructions on how to deposit $ via western union. When I made the call and informed the female rep that I was calling from Canada and I wanted to know as to what
procedure(s) I should follow to deposit my $, I was told Sir I will place you on hold for 2 minutes. I replied " go right ahead".

After 8 minutes of waiting, I just hung up.

I agree for these reasons and more and am happy my money is finally out of there. Their lines are not competitive at all in my mind and their customer service flat out stinks. Besides which they are extremely slow at hanging lines compared to the two other outs I use for the most part, Pinnacle and Olympic. Anyway I'm just glad I'm out of there, hate to bash on a sponsor but they are a step or two behind in my book.

thanks for reponding guys. a rep., or clerk who deals with the consumer, is a reflection of that business. it doesn't seem like they are trained well.

In the past BestLine Sports Intl. were giving out match play
bonus in which the information given by the clerk would have
been correct. However in this case the clerk provided wrong
information, BestLine Sports takes full responsibility.

BestLine Sports would like all players to be aware that any
questions pertaining to your account need to be addressed with
a customer service representative. Wagering clerks are employed
to take a wagering request not answer questions pertaining to
bonus or account policies.

derrick quote:"BestLine Sports would like all players to be aware that any questions pertaining to your account need to be addressed with a customer service representative. Wagering clerks are employed to take a wagering request not answer questions pertaining to bonus or account policies."

in the above quote you are putting the onus on the customer to know what questions to ask which clerk. that is wrong, imo, your clerks should know what questions they are qualified to answer & what questions they are not qualified to answer.

I also cant believe they would have the balls to say something like "Wagering clerks are employed to take a wagering request not answer questions pertaining to bonus or account policies." While I dont expect wagering clerks to know the ins and outs of their books internal financials, I damn well expect them to know simple things like a bonus or account policy, otherwise, what good are they? You could teach a monkey to take my account number and wager.

i spoke to derrick from bestline a little awhile ago, & he was very apologetic about his clerk giving me wrong info. he also offered to place the bonus money into my account. i told him that i'm not interested in getting the bonus money, if i'm not entitled to it. i told derrick that if it isn't his company's policy to give the customers their bonus, than i don't want it.
this issue isn't about money. it's about the professionalism of the book & it's clerks. they should know what to say & when to say it & if they are not supposed to answer a question, they shouldn't answer it with the wrong answer. they should pass it on to the proper person to answer. it also should be stated beforehand, not after the fact.

derrick asked me what he could do to make the situation right. i told him that i would like it for his company to post totals on all college games by the middle of the week, & not post a select few on thursday nite or friday morning, like they do now.

derrick said he will see what he can do.

i will give derrick credit by trying to make a customer happy. but then again that's what books should always try to do.

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Derrick has been helpful.......

Derrick has been helpful.......

The thing that really gets me is they do not post totals for all college games! All they would have to do is just copy the other sharp books on their lines. The software is already in place. It does make me wonder?

My experience with Best Line so far has been up and down. When I questioned the clerk about a wager on a teaser, and why the team and total I wanted, were not getting the points but giving the points? She was unable to explain why that was? Aside from having her try to explain it in some form of broken english, my phone experience with that was enough to say forget it.

I did reup last weekend, had $250 left over at Netteller, and decided to put it in. I asked what bonuses if any were in place. Sergio explained that if I put in $300 they would give a 10% bonus. I told him I wanted to place a bet that night and would not have time to fund the other $50 to get the bonus. He put me on hold, and came back and said they would give me the bonus, and put it right in my account. I felt that was a feather in their cap.

Now, however, I come to find out that they will give a 30% free play with a re-up, although this came the day after I did my redeposit. I do think the management knew about this when I was talking to them. Think it would have been nice of them to mention, "Yes Mr. Franky, but did you know that we are going to offer a free 30% play if you wait till tomorrow?! Or better yet, how about we just do that for you now!";)

Anyway, how is one to know when to time these things?:( The biggest things they can do is add all the totals like I said before, and offer more competitive vig on the other sports. Personally Iam still taking a wait and see attitude, would like to keep them as one of my outs. Will see how hockey and basketball work.

Right now I would grade them a "C"

Thats my take and Im stickin to it:)
