Thanks bear. Off to a decent start in this year's tourney. A few observations after the 1st weekend:

Sweet 16 Teams(By Conference)
ACC-3
Big 12-3
Big East-3
Atlantic 10-2
SEC-2
Big 10-1
Conference USA-1
WAC-1

Not many surprises with the ACC, Big 12 & Big East teams. We all know that they were the best conferences this year and the fact that they make up over half of the teams left is not at all shocking. N.C. State not making it while Syracuse did is a little surprising in my opinion.
The SEC is where I was most shocked. I though that there would be at least 2 teams in the "Sweet 16" but Alabama and Vanderbilt were not the 2 I had in mind. Do not think that I have to mention the 2 teams I did think would make it do I???
Way to go UAB for what has to be the "Upset of the Tournament"!! Might get an arguement from the Bama fans but I think we saw how good the Pac-10 was this year as they have 0(zero) teams remaining. UAB beat a very good Kentucky team and is the only Conference USA team left alive.
Nevada, the pride of the WAC, had a nice weekend(lost $$$ in both their games) and will give Georgia Tech some trouble.
If you would have told me before this season started that there would be more Atlantic 10 teams than Big 10 teams left in the tourney after the first weekend, I would not have believed it. I guess that is why they call it "Madness".:yup

Lots of good match-ups starting Thursday. Back on Monday with some plays on the NIT Tournament. Good Luck All!!!:)
