Kickserve,

I'll take a stab at the other #1. It was one of my old ladies favorite songs and i cringe at the mention of it or the sound of it blasting in my ears. I'm not sure if it was ever a billboard #1, but i think it almost had to be. It was IRIS by that goo goo crap band. If that was it I'm pretty sure that word was never in the song because i've heard it too many damn times.

give me skynard anyday over the crap today.......

well I don't like to be wrong but then again, who does...so I did some searching, i still don't know the other answer although I'm thinking hard about it and searching my brain...

BUT

UNFORTUNATELY

I checked billboard and sing365 for the lyrics and i can unfortunately say iris was a #1 hit and from their website

July ? The band hit #1 for 3 weeks with "Iris."

August ? "Iris" topped the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Airplay chart for 18 weeks.

So your trivia question should have 3 answers.

Sixfive.......you are correct.......it is Enter Sandman........although if you were super picky I guess you are correct about it appearing in the song...but if that were the case then Smells LIKE Teen Spirit would also be wrong.........

as for the last question............answer NINE :)

good, I became more intrigued when you mentioned it was heavy since that's right up my alley! Saw Metalliheavy 5 times in the 90s, great performances 2.5-3 hours each time. Seek & Destroy might possibly be the best crowd participation concert song of all time, have to be there to appreciate.

Your right it is CQD and not CDQ. No wonder no one responded to the dyslexic wireless operators morse code signal of CDQ from the Titanic. The dummie couldn't spell.

kickserv - You've got to be kidding me! If anything "Iris" would get my vote over "Enter Sandman" as you can't even hear that he whispers the word. Metallica says 'enter' at least 4 times as well as 'sandman'. Anyone who's been to a Yankee game when Mariano "The Sandman" Rivera comes in knows every word to the song. Bad question or answer in my mind...
