One NL play for Wednesday:

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS (+151) With or without Albert Pujols, I think the Cardinal line-up can still give Mark Prior a bit of trouble in his second start of the year. Although his first start at this level was very impressive, and not to take anything away from it, it did occur against the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates. I also look for Matt Morris to come up with a big effort and continue to have success against Chicago (10-3 lifetime with a 3.28 ERA). I think this is going to be a close game, but I think the public is maybe expecting too much too soon from Prior and I just don't see the Cub batters being as successful against Morris as they were against Woody Williams, who is now 2-7 in his career versus the Cubs.

I'm looking at a couple of interleague matchups, but this may be it for the day, depending on how this one makes out.

Best of Luck,

Sharky

On the course!
Prior look great last time out, so I have to stay away from this one. On the bright side, this is about as good of a price as you could hope for with St Louis in this situation.

Keep up the great run!

Thanks a lot Fellas....appreciate it. :)

I've looked at the menu for tonight, and have settled on one late selection:

SEATTLE MARINERS (-122) Freddy is looking to deliver a nightmare to the team that let him go over five years ago in the Randy Johnson deal. Garcia's win/loss record does not overly impress this year at 3-4, but his 3.18 ERA ranks 5th in the AL. Obviously, this is a concern for tonight, in that it illustrates his lack of run support, but Seattle is starting to improve and they left 12 runners on base last night against Roger Clemens. With Wade Miller on the mound for the Astros, the Mariners should be able to find a timely hit a little easier than last night. Couple this with the fact that the Houston bats are slumping badly (1 run in two games in Seattle), and I think Seattle is worth a shot.

[I was also leaning to Garland and the ChiSox, but I can't seem to get a feel for Milton, so I decided to pass. Anaheim should also be ready to light things up, but I didn't want to lay the heavy chalk tonight and risk wiping out ALL my profits on this afternoon's Cardinal win should things not go according to plan.]

Best of Luck tonight,

Sharky

Boy, did I miss this one with Seattle.....They haven't scored a run in their last 21 innings, and now have scored a meager 20 runs in the 12 games started by Garcia while he was pitching.

Well, onward and upward, but I'm having trouble finding anything that looks too attractive right now for Thursday. I will post on Thursday if I decide to play anything.

Updated record:

58-33 (+2615)

Good Luck with your Thursday plays. ;)
