Well, my employer made the decision that we would be taking Canada Day as it falls - THURSDAY July 1. Well, it was great while it lasted, but now Friday is more like a Monday.

Lost a bit to start the month, but I think I'm getting closer to coming out of this funk....I like a few for one last kick at this cat that is Inter-League play.........

OAKLAND ATHLETICS (+109) Hey, when this team gets hot, they get hot. Mark Redman got touched up pretty good in his last start against this Giants squad, however, Oakland also got to Kirk Reuter :bigear: pretty good in his last start, and I just think that these streaky teams are reaching the peaks in their "cycles".

DETROIT TIGERS (+128) The Tigers have won five of their last six, and are a respectable 4 games under .500 on the road this year and face a Rockies squad that is 3-7 in their last 10 and has lost 5 in a row. I'm not entirely sold on Joe Kennedy, and I don't think the better team is favoured here......Again, going with the streaking team.

LOS ANGELES DODGERS (+121) I'm going against the historical stats here and playing the Dodgers. Aaron Sele is 5-0 lifetime vs. LA, but he did get roughed up pretty good against this team last week after missing a start due to arm problems. Perez is sporting an ERA of 2.96 in 106.1 IP this year, and once again, the Dodgers are gaining momentum, while the Angels are on their heels...... ;)

SEATTLE MARINERS (+140) Did I just do this? Well, stranger things have happened, and Jamie Moyer is 3-1 in his career versus the Cards, while Woody Williams is only 2-5 with a 5.49 ERA against Seattle. Once again, the hotter team right now are the Mariners, as the Cards just got swept in Pittsburgh. Are they mad? Ohhh....probably. Are they struggling? Most definitely..... ;)

Go Road Teams. Go Streaking Teams. Arf Arf. :shade:

:topic: You guys see the amateur that's leading the US Women's Open golf tourney? :brows: I dunno, there's just something about a blonde pony tail coming out of a baseball cap that does something for me. :look:

Happy Friday,

Sharky

Good luck with those puppies --- solid card; 4-0 or 3-1 is a very realistic possibility with these four.
