Wow, what a time I had in Vegas....lots of fun.....
DAY 1 - FRIDAY
After arriving at about 11AM Vegas time Rebecca and I were both very tired. However, we knew we had lots to do. First off, pick up the tux and get a marriage license. I called my best friend Tim who had arrive Thursday evening and he was more than willing to help out, he picked up my tux while we waited at the County Courthouse for 2 hours to get the Marriage license. Got done at about 3 PM yippee yay!! Left us some time to rest up before the bachelor/bachelorette party. I woke up around 7PM and played some BJ while waiting for Rebecca to get ready. After playing for about two hours and $20 in the hole we headed to the hard rock. People started arriving from 8-11PM at the hard rock, most of this time was spent drinking and gambling at the $20 tables. After playing blackjack for a few more hours I found myself up $20 to set me even - I swear you never make much or lose much playing basic strategy bj but its sure a lot of fun. After assembling the crew, we took the guys across the street to Club Paradise which was a lot of fun. Some of the strippers were a lot of fun over here and they sure know how to get into your pockets. I was the one getting married and by the time I walked out of their my pockets were $200 lighter.
DAY 2 - SATURDAY
Got up early and had some breakfast with the grandparents. After that it was off to the blackjack tables not making much or losing much. At around 9:30 I placed some bets on baseball Maddux to win 100 and Shilling to win 100. Also parlayed them both for $40. I really did not know what I was doing, except I was putting a lot of money down because there was lots of chalk. Next, Rebecca wanted to play bj so I thre in 30 while she threw in 40 and got 70 worth of chips. She started winning and left the table with 107. I said hey you owe me half so she throws me the 7 and keeps the 100 for herself. After lunch at PF Changs we gathered up some people and headed to the Venetian Sportsbook. Lots of fun, nice sb, drink service was great. I got loaded because Maddux won earlier in the day due to rain delay through 6 innings and I had a lot running on Shilling that night. Soon, I had to leave in the 7th inning and go to dinner at Canaletto and see the Cirque du soleil show Mystere. Both were great and what was even better is that Shilling won for the Red Sox that night....cha-ching$$$$$$$
DAY 3 - SUNDAY (WEDDING DAY)
Got up sort of early around 9AM and had breakfast with my parents. After breakfast started playing bj for a while. I bet a few more games too putting down money on Randy Johnson and David Wells, then parlaying them both...wtf, let it ride huh? I think all this gambling was just because I was nervous and jittery and wanted to take my mind off of things. Soon the wedding part arrived and we went to my room where I had set aside a bottle of Captain Morgan just for them on this special occasion - see I'm always thinking of my friends. The wedding then took place in a gazebo area, everything went as planned. The reception was at a chapel that looked more like an office building from the outside but it suited us just fine, everyone had fun, loads of champagne flowed and people got pretty lit up. The reception dinner was at the Cheesecake factory in Caesars Palace. It went well too. Before the end of the night someone told me I won both of my baseball games again, cha ching$$$$$$$$$$$$ That evening was great as well as we both had a great time.
DAY 4 - MONDAY
Got up and had breakfast around 9am. I figured I was up about $400-500 from my baseball bets so I bet the Twins small because Radke was pitching. After that Rebecca wanted to spend some time with some of her friends so I was off to the Mriage sportsbook to do some drinking and watching the games with my friends. Got loaded early so I sobered up while doing some gambling and later that night Rebecca and I went to eat a seafood dinner and see the Blue Man Group. Oh and btw, Twins win! yippee yay!
DAY 5 - TUESDAY
Got up and headed for the Strip with Rebecca. Placed a small bet on the Yanks because Pettite was pitching. Once we got to the Aladdin we went to the Spice Market Buffet and had brunch. After brunch I was stuffed so I played slots and bj which was a bad idea because I lost about 100 right off the bat. Lost another 50 on the Yankees game later that night so I quit gambling because I did not want to start really cutting into my winnings. And yes I was still ahead. Went to go see Lance Burton that night with some friends which was great.
DAY 6 - WEDNESDAY
Got up and packed our shit after having breakfast. Won about 20 on the slots right away before we left and won about 50 more on the Red Sox game, I sent in the ticket this morning. What a trip! I'll post pictures soon once I have some free time on my hand and am not so tired.
