Hey everyone,

I know it's early, but I was thinking about putting together a couple of fantasy football leagues online exclusively for Madjackers.

I was also debating making at least one of the leagues (maybe both) money leagues. I'm flexible on the entry fee. I was thinking $200 (US) to enter would be fair. Maybe more if the interest is there. The pot would be divided up 60%/30%/10% for 1st/2nd/3rd.

Preliminary ideas for the two leagues....

League #1 : 8 teams, 14 week regular season (everyone plays everyone else twice), top 4 teams make the playoffs.

League #2 : 14 teams, 13 week regular season (everyone plays everyone else once), top 8 teams make the playoffs.

These two leagues would be run independently of one another (ie. League #1 is not competing against League #2, each one would have it's own prize pool).

Of course the rosters of League #1 would be considerably larger, so that in either league the free-agent pool would be of roughly the same quality and quantity of players. Both leagues would hold a live online draft (draft times have already been reserved for the two nights before the season kicks off actually, as I'm assuming this will be a go).

If you'd be seriously interested in playing and the entry fee suggested is in your ballpark, respond here.

Count me in! Do we have our choice of which league we would want to join, the 8 or 14 team league?

Hey guys,

Sorry I didn't get back to this thread earlier...I've been out of town for a few days.

If you've got a preference on joining the 8 or the 14 team league, (or if you'd like to be involved in both), then just mention it here. If no preference is mentioned then I will assume you will accept either. I'll bump this thread for a couple of weeks, or until the leagues appear to be close to full, whichever comes first.

It's early but it looks like there is definitely interest in this and I'm anticipating both leagues will fill up, since a lot of FF fans probably haven't even checked out MJ's in a few months, but will come back soon.

Keep watching here and when it looks like we're getting close to starting I can collect email addresses and arrange payment details. I am going to go with $200 US as the entry fee for either team...max one team per league per person. Payment by Paypal more than likely, unless there is a better way to do it or you can't use Paypal for some reason. Payments will be due by September 1st **FIRM**...non-payees will be removed and the spot made available to someone else (if it can be filled quickly), so that we don't end up with deadbeat owners or unmanaged teams. If a spot cannot be filled by a paying member the league will be reduced in size so that every team is accounted for and paid in full BEFORE draft night.

The 8-team league is scheduled to draft at 7:30pm EDT on September 7th; the 14-team league will draft on the following night, 7:30pm EDT on September 8th. Both leagues will be run through Yahoo. It's not mandatory that you be available on draft night - the computer ~can~ draft a team for you if it must - but it's obviously in your best interest to be there as the computer makes mistakes / drafts injured players, that sort of thing. Details on how to enter the leagues, send payment, etc will be made available around the end of July.

Thanks all,
GM

Not sure yet because of the dates of the draft (will definetly do one) but I really wanted to bump this thread anyway.

I'm in GM! Will we have the opportunity to win the same amount of money in both leagues? If so, I don't have a preference. If not, please include me in the league with the larger pot! Thanks for putting this together for us Madjackers. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you.

Hey guys, I haven't forgotten about you...

I'm going to get a webpage up in the next day or two to outline how to join the leagues, submit payment, etc. Just have to work out a couple of things.
