ST. JOHN?S, ANTIGUA July 30, 2004 -- With the Democratic National convention in Boston having come to a close, the political race for the presidency of the United States of America is just beginning to heat up. Today BetWWTS.com jumped into the political arena by releasing updated odds on the 2004 Presidential Election including odds on who would win the electoral votes from a number of undecided states.

A leading offshore gaming company for over 10 years, BetWWTS.com has seen a shift in U.S. Presidential betting and now lists Democratic candidate John Kerry as a slight favorite to win the election at 10/13 odds (i.e., win $10 for every $13 bet) over incumbent President George Bush who stands at even money or 1/1 odds. That represents a complete reversal in odds from as recent as late June when President Bush was a 10/13 favorite to win the election while Kerry was listed at 1/1 odds.

Knowing that the election will ultimately be decided on the outcome of a few select states, BetWWTS.com has also created unique betting options on which candidate will win each of 22 ?swing states? in November?s election. The company currently lists Kerry as the favorite in 13 of the 22 ?swing states?, while listing Bush as the favorite in only six of those districts with three states currently considered up for grabs. BetWWTS.com has Kerry favored to capture Delaware, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington and Wisconsin. Meanwhile President George Bush is currently the favorite in only Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio and West Virginia. BetWWTS.com lists Arizona, Maine and Minnesota with equal odds for both candidates.

Interesting that Pinnacle has moved from Bush -103 shortly after Kerry's speech last night to Bush -117 now -- 24 hours later. Must be a lot of money coming in on Bush now that the Dem event is past uneventfully. Small scalp available if WWTS is still at Bush Even, as Pinn has Kerry +103. Couldn't find the quotes @ WWTS to confirm. Too small to put up the money for that long.

I would think that naturally, if you actually were going to bet on the election, the best time to do it would be right after the opposing party's convention.

And I would be completely stunned if Kerry won Tennessee. Not a bad price on Bush at all. Kerry in Delaware is free money, but -300 is pretty steep. Bush in Colorado I would think would be a pretty smart investment as well.

Thanks IE Is quite interesting. IMHO WTTS put too much emphasis on convention and and if they do accordingly after Reb convention could have some decent mids. One thing is certain if your backing Bush get on now if you you like Kerry wait till after reb convention. Wonder if they alow parlays on this. Will check it out.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
got two I really like on lines above but can't find lines on WTTS site?
One wager is on Kerry and one on Bush.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Still can't get lines but the 2 I like a BUNCH are

Kerry to win Maine @ 5/6
Bush to win Arizona @ 5/6
--and would love to pasrlay them.

In maine in last election Dems carried it by 5% margin and Rebs carried AZ by 6%
Thats is pretty significant to overcome.

lines back up

I'll add a best dog bet to the 2 above

New Mexico Bush +180

Gore carried this by a handful of votes last election and relatively no bounce nationally after Dem convention is not a good sign for Kerry camp.

They did not allow parlays on election :(

I'm taking any other candidate 1000/1....
With the hatred of the Democratic party and
Al Quieda, Bush will be assasinated, Kerry will
get stoned to death by his own party, and
Ross Perot and J Paul Getty (deceased) will
enter the November 2 election neck and neck.
STAY TUNED.........

adding-- Bush to carry over 29.5 @ Pinnacle

Selection 1 : Politics US 2004 Presidential Race Total states won by Republicans 23) Over 29.5 States -114

A pretty close # I think but my thinking Bush needs to pull only 2 of 7 current toss ups states and could possibly pick up HI which is considered in Kerry camp.

all 3 previous wagers looking favorable
