In the name of love - U2

Under my thumb - Rolling Stones

About live music, i was in Nick Caves concert yesterday and i must
say it was one of the best concerts i have seen. If you have opportunity to see him, go and see.

Just thought of a pretty good one...

"Boom, boom...out go the lights!"

Can't remember who did that one.

GREAT TOPIC

GREAT TOPIC

My, My, Hey, Hey - Neil Young (Live Rust)
Stormy Monday - Allman brothers
Space Truckin - Deep Purple
Breakdown - Petty & Heartbreakers
Around and Around - Rolling Stones (Love You Live)
Carol - Rolling Stones (Get Your Ya Yas Out)

That Love You Live album is pure ear candy to me. Some tracks are from MSG '69 and then some in a smaller venue in Toronto. After Fillmore East it's my favorite album ever. How can you beat 20 minutes of Whippin Post? Duane didn't play much more beyond that gig.

Two of mine have already been posted:

FRAMPTON's song (phenomenal -- the interaction with the audience is perhaps the best ever on record)

TURN THE PAGE -- by Bob Seegar (I'm not a big Seegar fan, but this one is perfect as the ultimate roadie song)

FRREBIRD -- Like Frampton's song, the audience is actually a part of the band.

Best live recorded set I've ever seen was the night BB King came onstage with U-2 in Fort Worth, where they recorded live -- WHEN LOVE COMES TO TOWN. It's on the Ratle and Hum album, It's not a great song, but the electricity that night (I think it was 1987) was as hot as Ive ever felt at any concert.

NO PEPPER..............You are so right on the Tom Petty Breakdown........The way that teh crowd sings teh whole verse and then divide themselves up to sing the the two different parts of the chorus. That version moves me every friggin' time.
