Agreed pt1gard....I was thinking 'Zona -2'/-3
I like the Cats to cover, probably win by 5 or 6
it should be reasonably close.

I got Arizona -2'

GL board.

and give me a break...getting a 2 seed doesnt put a chip on somebody's shoulder

Yeah, if Arizona gets a 2 seed, that is certainly reasonable. . . but the chip will be on Lute's shoulder. . . he believes his team deserves a 1 seed. . . at least if they beat Washington today

Nickel,

Zona is a very nice team. But they play in at best a 4 team league. And a team that gets blown out by Virginia cant complain about where they get seeded. And they did lose to Wake so cant be upset to lose a #1 to them. I can see Lute acting upset to motivate...but he cant be legitimately upset.

other than beating washington and utah at home this year what other good wins have they had? don't know their strength of schedule but can't see how it was very strong. illinois,unc and ky have top spots already sewn up in my opinion.kansas or louisville if either win today will be the 4th number one and wake will be next in line. i will be the first to say duke doesn't deserve a top seed even if they beat unc for title. they are destined to be a number 2 in ky region. that is my best pick of the week.

kansas, a one seed?

who have they beaten....

havent they lost 4 of thier last 6 games?

in my un-biased opinion kentucky (ncaa must have an sec team and wont have 3 acc teams) will get the 4th one seed (unc-wake-ill the other three).....ua-duke-kansas-ok state-louisville-wash in the running for the 2 seeds

I'm hoping for UNC, Illinois, Wake Forest and Kansas to all get #1 seeds. :clap:

I have all 4 + UW & GT to win it all.

IMO, I think Arizona deserves a #1 seed if they win today. If they don't win today, I say give the #1 seed to the winner of the Big 12 tourney provided its either Kansas or OSU. Not good to have 3 ACC teams with #1 seeds.

Kansas shouldnt be a 1. But they did win at Kentucky - with 2 starters out - and even losing those games they remain #1 in the RPI.

If you are going to have an RPI, and a team is #1 in the RPI and ranked top 10 in the polls and they win their conf. tourney, then I think they deserve a #1 seed. Otherwise, don't have an RPI if you don't respect it. Plus they have highly ranked SOS.

Why would you HOPE that? It isnt like it is overly meaningful as to who will win. 4 years since a 1 seed won it all. Never had all 4 1 seeds make the final four. Rarely get 3.Generally at best 2 make it. Last 2 years each have only had 1 #1 seed. All it means is they have an easier 1st round game, and arguably an easier Sweet 16 (play a 3 rather than a 3) game if bracket goes to form, which it generally doesnt.

My 2 huge future money makers are UNC and Illinois. I also profit with Kansas and WF but much smaller.

If all 4 are #1 seeds, I have the "chance" that I could see all 4 teams in the final 4. Wouldn't that be sweet. I just don't want to see one of my teams upseting each other. If all are #1 seeds, then I don't have to worry about that.

2 main teams I am cheering for are UNC and Illinois.

Yes I know its a SMALL chance that all #1 seeds meet in the final four. But I can dream and that would be the perfect scenario for ME! Even if they lose out early, I get all 4 teams in 4 different brackets.

If those teams are truly good enbough to get there the seed wont matter. And if the odds are such that you can make money betting just the one seeds, that should say something. Last I checked Vegas is doing ok - which teams do you think Joe Public will be playing?

I think Scott is used to playing the favorite(s) for the National Championship as he has with USC the last couple years. . . the real problem is that football and basketball are completely different. . . USC had to get to the championship game and win it. . . Illinois and North Carolina have to go on a string of six wins in the big dance. . . completely different and I see no value at all in trying to pick the winner outright. . . might as well stick to the games only and pick the right spots

watched about the last 6 UW games and their Defense isnt getting much better, seems like they are about to put people away (i.e. last 3 games) and just cant stop them or go into draughts ... This line -2 almost seems suckerish going off what has transpired in pac-10 tourney--one HUGE thing is UW has as much depth as anyone in nation so im guessing that is biggest factor

Sun Tzu I did not place my futures this week or last week. I placed and posted them on Jan. 31st. Here they are.

*Illinois ---> $1,600 to win $9,520
+595 @Olympic

*North Carolina ---> $1,713 to win $7,794
+455 @Olympic

*Wake Forest ---> $500 to win $5,000
10-1 @Betwwts

*Kansas ---> $300 to win $4,500
15-1 @Betwwts

*Georgia Tech ---> $200 to win $4,000
20-1 @Betwwts

*Washington ---> $100 to win $4,000
40-1 @Betwwts

You are right but why can't or shouldn't I root what is best for me? Getting UNC, Illinois, Kansas, and WF as #1 seeds works best for me. If all 6 teams I wagered on lose, I am out around $4000.

I see a lot of value in my wagers except for G-Tech. I could have freaking 40-1 :cursin:. I gambled on that one and lost. I have 6 teams to work with but I really am cheering for only 2. Other 4 teams are set up to bring me profit or get my money back.

HOW ABOUT UNC VS ILLINOIS IN THE FINALS! :clap:

I, for one, am glad they lost. This wil set them up in the tourney very well. They are still playing very good ball and are capable of beating anyone in the country.

Right now do you think Louisville has a better resume than Duke?

What if Duke wins the ACC Tourney tom. against G-Tech (who just upset the #2 team in country).

Still think Louisville deserves it over Duke?

I say give it to Kentucky if they win the SEC Touney tom. then take a look at Duke. Arizona blew there opportunity losing to a very good Washington team.
