I am going to vegas this weekend and staying at the Vegas Hilton. I never stayed or gambled there.

Anybody know the particular limits they offer? For example on Craps and Blackjack? I called them and they wouldn't tell me they said they can't talk about gambling on phone.

I prefer the lowest limits possible and I am trying to figure out what type of bankroll to bring to vegas and my betting strategies. Hopefully its not $10 min on weekend. Since its off the strip I am thinking lower limits.

One more thing, how is their sportsbook for watching the final four? I plan on arriving in vegas Sat. around 12:30-1pm.

Thanks to anybody who can help answer my questions.

Have stayed there 3 times. Pretty decent place. The bad thing about it is that it's pretty far off the strip so unless you drive or pay for a taxi, you're not gonna want to walk to any of the other casinos. The times we were there, you can expect about 3-4 $10 tables if that's what you're looking for. Fridays and Saturdays are packed and the minimum is bumped another $5. Get a players club card. Their comps are pretty nice. I usually sit at the $25 blackjack tables and play for hours on end. Remember, it's not the amount of money you play, but how long you sit at a table and how much money is circulated through you. You can basically pay for your entire weekend if you sit at the tables long enough. You can get more comps rolling a $600 clip in a span of 4 hours vs. losing $2000 in a span of 40 minutes. The sportsbook is pretty nice and there are plenty of seats and tv monitors for you to watch. And you have got to try the Hilton Steakhouse. One of the best Ribeye steaks I've ever eaten, though it did cost me $45. Best of luck and enjoy...

Let em see if I have this right - you say you have won tens of thousands on sports betting the last couple of years. You think you are about to win close to another 10k with a Final Four future. You say you have tons of money to play with because of your success. Yet you wnat the lowest limits possible in Vegas? Geez - you could play $10 blackjack all night and neither win nor lose even 100 bucks.

:yup

Doesn't make sense but thats the way I am.

Sportsbetting and gambling on tables is different in my opinion. I am willing to bet and lose $1000's in sportsbetting but I am not willing to bet huge amounts in BlackJack. For me, $20 a hand in BJ is steep. Maybe not for you. Remember, this is my money. I have beaten the odds in sportsbetting and very confident in my handicapping but table games in Vegas advantage is against me unless I learn to count cards.

In blackjack I have system where I bet 1 unit and 2.5-3units. Bet $5 every time I lose, bet $10-$15 every time I win. Or bet $3 everytime I lose and $10 every time I win. I do not want to bet $10 and $25 bets or $20 and $45 bets. Especially when doubling down it could get as high as $90 and one hand. I make my $$$ sportsbetting and have fun with it. I am just looking to have fun at the tables in vegas and not necessarily breaking the bank. I should break the bank if UNC or Illinois wins it all! :)

In craps, I am very new to the game. So hopefully min. bets are not high. I can manage if its $5 but I prefer $2-$3.

I am only in Vegas for one night to celebrate a friends 21st birthday. I guess my gambling bankroll for BJ and Craps will be $1000. Just trying to get an idea, but I will not play BJ if min. is $15 or higher. I think thats crazy. Remember, I am only 24 years old.

kneifl and chopsticks

Hopefully its not higher than $10. I'll manage if its $10 but if not, then maybe hop in the car and go to another casino like Marine suggested. I like Sahara because of the $1 min. Sahara and Boardwalk is only places where I can play my $3 and $10 system and I love it! Everywhere else its $5 and $10 min.

Ok let me make sure I have this right.

Craps - dont want to play more than $3 and want lowest limits possible

Blackjack -$10 is too much and want lowest limits possible because to do more is crazy

College Hoops Side - $200 is a HUGE bet

BUT - you have allotted yourself $1000 to bet in one night -you going to play 20 blackjack hands at once and double down each time?

College Hoops Futures - no problem plucking down 15k 3 months before the tournamant with no idea of matchups

That sure makes sense. I wonder which item above doesnt belong?

I am a conservative gambler when it comes to card games. When it comes to sportsbetting and futures, I am not conservative because I trust MY judgement and MY handicapping. Since my big year in sportsbetting 3 years ago, I have been playing with profits ever since. 4 years ago I had losing year! I simply don't lose many big bets and I have been very fortunate with most of my future bets. Most of my profits have come from USC bets because I know that team inside and out and bet big $$$ because of that.

I have said it before. I do not make my $$$ betting conservatively with units. My bets fluctuate. On average, MOST of my bets are between $10-$200. I don't make very many wagers over $500. So yes, a $200 wager is a big bet for me based on my everyday play.

Why can't someone have good time playing Craps and BJ for low limits? Don't understand why you harp on this and my betting? I have no reason to lie on this board or boost my ego and say I bet $100 a hand BJ since I am up so much $$$ sportsbetting. I tell the truth and I was looking for "VEGAS" help so I explained my situation. I don't like betting big in vegas.

Reason I often state my wager amounts is so people understand how strong I feel about a game. $50 is big bet for some or small bet for others. If I bet $500 or more, that is a VERY BIG bet for me and I say so in my post. Means it doesn't come along very often and I really like the play. Then I also follow up my pick with analysis.

My point quite frankly if all else is true you are full of shit about your futures amounts. Period. You will only bet 200 on Illinois on a ML bet, playing at home, knowing who they are playing against, but expect us to believe you put what, 4k on them to win it all 3 months ago?

As for your ego - that was lie number one regardless of everything else.

Come listen to a story 'bout a man named Scott4USC,

A poor college kid, barely had a pot to pee,

But then one day he was making future bets

I can't lose this 10 grand, was about all that was said.

His only friend said "California is the place ya oughta be",

So he packed up his chips and he moved to Beverly.

Hills that is.

On his first day at Vegas, he almost lost his ass.

Betting 2 bucks a hand and never making a pass.

they fed him lots of drinks and sat him at the slots

He said fawk future bets, I think I have a lock.

yyz style that is..

nickels son........

The weeks rolled by and things were looking pretty bad.

his betting started slipping and it looked like he'd been had.

He rang up his mama and decided on a fix.

The answer was simple... Illinois and North Carolina son.

Future bets that is.

Games are now over Scotts hair was turning gray.
Scott lost his bets while his life slipped just slipped away.

He thought he would retire and settle with a whore.

Instead he lost his bets and got escorted out the door.

Broke that is unemployed...

Now the moral of the story is listen to what
you're told, future bets will use you and discard you when
you're old.

Take Scotts advice and don't follow him today.

Because if you do. you will surely have to pay.

MAMA !
