I had my best round of golf today!!!!

Finally broke 80!!

Shot a 78.. par 72 6720 yards

Been playing for 8 years. About 2 to 3 times a month. Less in the winter.

heres how it played out for me

took me 8 mos to break 100

took another 2 years to break 90

took another 5years (today) to break 80.

I will say I have choked on probaly 7 or 8 good chances to shoot in the 70's over the the last year and half.

Seems like a long cycle for me.

Wait till you have a chance to finish under. I've had many chances, just for nine, doubled once to finish even, finally did it, just a -1 for nine and +5 for the round, another choke.

I usually play 2 to 3 time a month and go to the range at least once a week.

No aces though. Never had a hole in one. I've had three eagles. 2 on par 5's and one on a par 4.

toast - congrats on a great round. I know how hard it is knocking on the door to break 80 with three rounds of 81 this year. Hopefully it will happen soon but the chase is well worth it.

good luck! looks like your learning curve is much quicker than mine!

I think the heavy drinking when I first started playing slowed down my learning curve. Don't get me wrong I still drink a couple while playing. Just not the 12 pack like I did in the early days.

Now I save the majority of beer drinking for the clubhouse afterwards

THE STRONGEST PART OF THE KIDS GAME WAS HIS ERASER THATS RIGHT HIS PLAYING PARTNERS GAVE HIM 3 PUTTS THAT HE HAD NO CHANCE OF MAKING SLIPPERY DOWNHILL LEFT TO RIGHTERS.
