Hey does anyone know huow much is the fine for making a illegal left turn into a street where u can't make a turn between 4pm to 6pm. i just freakin got a ticket i didnt see the sign and made a left turn into a street and got pulled over. its my first ticket so i really don't know how much its gonna cost me..........has anyone got one of those tickets,how much is the damage lol??????? thanx in advance

go to traffic school on this offense though and it will not go on your record. Sounds like the cop must have been bored. I figure you are looking at a few Benjamins here
nah i was in my car...........it doesnt say how much to pay......it says to appear in court on a certain date
man i hope i don't have to go to court for something stupid like that. i hate courts, never been there and never wanna go there lol

You might have to go to court to either pay it or go to Traffic School. You should choose traffic school otherwise you will have a ticket on your record and your insurance will go up. If you go to traffic school you can schedule it within the next few months after your court appearance and usually you will have to spend about 7 hours on a Sat to do this. No one usually has time or wants to do this but its what I suggest. Also when you go to court you dont have to see a judge you just have to see someone you wait for in line to take care of your ticket. If you choose not to go to traffic school you can most likely just pay the ticket without appearing. You should get something in the mail

When you make this call and talk to the JP don't be on the defensive to much, something along the lines of, "I can't believe I didn't see that sign." should work. You should tell the judge that you do not want to contest the ticket (nolo contende) and inquire if there is a way to keep this off your driving record.
The judge has a minimum and maximum fine that he/she can hand out, plus can order you to take a class within a certain time frame that reduces the fine. I would expect a driver's safety class and the minimum fine would be handed out. Everything from there is then handled by mail. You can take a comedy driver's class for (guessing here)$30-$50 bucks and probably face a fine of (still guessing)$75-$150.
I have a friend who is a JP here who says that she feels no remorse when she gets a phone call and the person feels that there has been some kind of great injustice done and how he/she was singled out of 6 billion people to be the unluckiest person on earth. She says, "I guess I'll see you in court then." to those people.
Instead she'd rather hear a valid excuse for the infraction, 'i didn't see the sign.' Hear atonement, 'I'll never make this mistake again.' And willingness to do something to prove that your serious, 'take a driver's safety class.'

don't pay the fine, it'll go on your record and your insurance may rise.
go to traffic school. not sure where you live, but it says west coast. if you are anywhere near LA, and maybe other places in the state you can go to comedy traffic school where comedians teach the class. It's not real funny, but beats going to the regular one and it never shows up on your record.
