BOYS AS MANY OF YOU KNOW I AM OLD SCHOOL AND I DONT LIKE WHAT I AM SEEING AT PINNACLE SPORTSBOOK THIS SEASON.I WAS LOOKING AT THERE OPENING LINES FOR SEPTEMBER 11 AND WEEK 1 OF THE REGULAR SEASON.THIS IS VERY DISTURBING TO ME WHY THE F-CK CANT WE GO BACK TO THE OLD DAYS WHERE ALL GAMES WERE -110 AND IF YOU GOT A PUSH ON 3 OR 7 YOU JUST HAD A PUSH AND LOOKED FOR ANOTHER PLAY.I HATE ALL THESE BIG NUMBERS PINNACLE IS THROWING AROUND I JUST AM AFFRAID THEY ARE GOING TO BE STARTING A TREND OF GOUGING OFFSHORE.THESE NUMBERS SUCK IN MY OPINION AND I DONT CARE ABOUT THE GUYS WHO SAY HEY BEANTOWN THAN JUST TAK THE OTHER SIDE AS LONG AS YOUR GETTING 10 CENT LINES.THE POINT IS SEEING LINES LIKE THIS F-CKS UP MY HANDICAPPING I THINK PINNACLE THROWS OUT THESE NUMBERS TO F-CK UP THE PUBLIC.I JUST DONT LIKE IT WHY CANT WE GO BACK TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS AND CUT THE SH-T I FEEL LIKE I AM BETTING ON A BASEBALL GAME NOT A FOOTBALL GAME.

Quit the crap and put up a number at -110. They are just trying to make it more complicated for the average bettor.

i use a local for all standard bets and offshore for ones i can't get with him...still give the books enough action but like jim says, why should i have to hunt around for -110 when i can get it from my local -110 for all games and totals and double juice for teasers which i refuse to bet...offshores are nice for halftimes and props

Beantown persoally pinny is the sharpeest book in football and basketball, I use them more as a guide during this time of season and compare them to other books, works great for halftimes, u can usually figure which side the book wants the money on.

Use Olympic, carib, betjamica, wsex all these don't throw up baseball lines. Pinny is hard to beat during football season.

You are saying get rid of _____ without suggesting an alternative. You are acting like that idiot Michael Moore. You want Pinnacle to be something that it is not. Moore wants the United States to be something that it is not.


I don't think you have any room to gripe. You obviously didn't choose to put your $$$ in their sportsbook because of bonuses. 10 cent lines, security, fast payouts, etc. are prob. the reasons you joined Pinnacle.

Since Pinnacle accepts all action, they have to protect themselves. They do not turn down anyone. So if people are pounding on a game 20+ days before it starts ($1000 limit at a time), they are not going to move the # but rather the vig. This is the reason Pinnacle has security, fast payouts and willing to take anybodies action. You should applaud them. They are a smart shop. Now if you want Pinnacle to be the sportsbook you want them to be, then they won't offer 10cent lines, start lowering clients wager amounts etc etc etc.

Your complaint is a reason why you should not have only one out. If you like the other side, GREAT! If you like the side that has heavy juice, then go to another sportsbook to place your wager. The # with the heavy juice is a lesser # than other sportsbooks are offering. So you technically are not getting cheated but rather high juice. Like IE2002 said, when the season gets closer, Pinny allows you to move the line off their 10cent lines. So there is nothing really to bitch about.

I hope Pinny stays the same because that is the reason I keep most of my $$$$ in their account. Whenever I see a line that I don't like (just like you) I go to my other shops where I took advantage of lucrative bonuses etc. But at those other shops, you often have your max wagers minimized. At Pinnacle you don't. You always can place a high wager at Pinnace and most of the time you don't even have to call it in.

Beantownjim you can't have it both ways. To have one benefit, means you must give something else up. Only way to take advantage of everything (bonuses, free 1/2 pt, parlay/teaser odds, 10 cents lines, guaranteed -110 lines) you have to have multiple shops! The good news is you are allowed to have multiple shops and you are not restricted into only having one out!

Good luck finding a sportsbook that offers ALL the benefits in one place.

Like Terps, I am almost ashamed to admit it, but BTJ is write about the crazy lines. I would hate to think that the off shores will get together and make this a regular thing now that they have everybody by the short hairs.

Business will just go elsewhere. Baseball is nigh impossible to make money at for precisely the reason of these money lines. They are BS. You lose 1 big favorite in baseball and you have to win 2 or 3 games to get back even.

Football players don't need that crap.

elaborating on what icelot said..right now at -110 you have to win 2/3 games to turn a profit..(simplified) i forget what the % becomes over large numbers..but having to hit 3/4 or having to win 2 games to make up for one would be the absolute end of the football bettor
