Getting ready for this years season, I was reveiwing some of my "rules" I follow in betting. Nothing hardcore, just a few little things that have burned me in the past or whatever and caused me to make it a rule.

1. Dont bet against Bob Knight
2. Bill Parcells
3. Peyton Manning
4. Brett Favre
5. An unranked team favored over a ranked team
6. Steelers on Monday nights
7. Anybody in week 7 :sadwave:

8. Dont bet for Allen Iverson
9. Chris Webber
10. IU B-ball or Mike Davis

These are just a few of mine, what about you?

Rule #1: Don't make blanket rules about betting on or against players, coaches or teams. :shade:

1) whenever i bet on UCLA football bet against them cause those fockers always lose when i bet on them and ofcourse when i bet against them they'll fockin upset the best teams out there (chits been going on for years)

2) never bet vikings/greenbay game <-- so fockin unpredictable

3) hawaii's basketball team always win at night at home and cover the spread :mj07: :mj07: no matter who they are playing.

4) when something is too good to be true go the other way and u'll win more than u lose in those situations

5) when u can't stomach the game anymore and its down to the last shot TURN THE FOCKIN TV OFF :142smilie and then count till 10 and slowly turn it back on close your eyes and try to get a feel of the crowd reaction :mj07:

Never bet on player whose missed cut ration is significantly worse than opponant regardless of what the stats say.

Props
Never expect weather to be perfect regardless of what forecast tells you--as any change can only be for the worse not the better.

Never bet on Nebraska, my alma matter.... Way too unpredictable!

Always bet on the Cowboys or against the cowboys, very good at capping a team I've followed for years...

Never bet for long periods of time without breaks, the house always has an edge...Luck plays a big part in sportsbetting.....

If it looks too good to be true, it usually is.....

Last but not least, enjoy it! This should be fun - why else would you be a gambler?
