ANTI-WAR PROTESTERS TARGET WOUNDED AT ARMY HOSPITAL
Wed Aug 2005 24 21:20:05 ET

Anti-war protestors besieged wounded and disabled soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C, a new web report will claim!

CNSNews.com is planning to run an expose on Thursday featuring interviews with both protestors and veterans, as well as shots of protest signs with slogans like ?Maimed for a Lie.?

The conservative outlet will post video evidence of the wounded veterans being taunted by protesters, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Developing late...

Just ridiculous. That's the very last place they should protest. Saw a lot of that footage on Fox this afternoon. Their signs and whatever aren't that bad(at least from what I saw ), but wtf are they doing *there?*'

If I was one the the 14,000 wounded/maimed from this war and sent to Walter Reed for rehabilitation, I really would be pissed that these idiots are out there. They're an embarassment.

Im guessing there out side and most cant be seen by these brave soldiers. Even so neither those protesting for or against the war should be allowed with in a 1000 feet. And 25 years as I said above is nuts on my part. But 30 days in jail might work. Again both sides.

It sounds like most of the protestors there are not displaying these offensive signs. One of the protestors said something that does make sense to me:

"I am more offended by the fact that many were maimed for life. I am more offended by the fact that they (wounded veterans) have been kept out of the news," said Kevin McCarron, a member of the anti-war group Veterans for Peace.

McCarron said he dislikes having to resort to such controversial tactics, "but this stuff can't be hidden," he insisted. "The real cost of this war cannot be kept from the American public."

That being said - it does seem very inconsiderate of the actual soldiers attempting to mend serious physical and mental conditions.

From what I have read, albeit from probable bias sources, many of the protesters there and at Crawford are rather extreme groups supporting Communist causes and basically just anti American anything. I don't think they come close to representing the general public.
