I'm looking to buy one for the girlfriends garage.

Any advice on brand names or features to look for.

She will have some difficulty parking on her street because of a certain nationality of people that are living 200 to a room on the rest of her block. (Chicago has the biggest population of this species outside of Warsaw.) She hasn't parked in her garage to this point because she has difficulty opening the door herself.

Of course, Eddie will have to have an opener also to use in his dreams.

Gat one that changes the code every time you raise or lower. Not sure if that is automatic on newer models or not.

Mine came with the house.

I'm glad you included Warsaw in your message because it could have been any number of nationalities (changes every 3 blocks down there)

I just bought a Lift Master, it is much quieter than my Sears. Haven;t heard any bad about Genie. I recomend the Belt over Chain or Screw.

Have a Genie that was bought at Home Depot or Lowes(can't remember), but make sure you get the screw drive instead of the chain drive to decrease noise, and do get the changing code, so people can't steal it.
