I READ AND ENJOY MANY OF THE THREADS ON HERE ... AND HAVE A FAIR IDEA OF WHO ARE THE HOT CAPPERS.

MANY CAPPERS ON HERE OBVIOUSLY DO A LOT OF RESEARCH AND SHARE THAT ON HERE ... I HOPE THEY KNOW IT IS APPRECIATED  . THERE ARE ALSO SOME CAPPPERS WHO OBVIOUSLY ARE STRONGER THAN OTHERS(SOMETIMES DEPENDING ON THE SPORT).

I WONDER IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE SOMEHOW TO RANK THE TOP CAPPERS FOR EACH SPORT AT THE JUDGEMENT OF THE ADMINISTRATORS AT MADJACKS.

GOOD TO SEE YOU TRYING TO IMPROVE THE SITE ... BUT I MUST SAY IT IS ALREADY BY FAR THE BEST ONE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.

JOB WELL DONE MADJACKS AND CONTINUED SUCCESS. :mj14:

I would say censunsus seems to be biggest trend for me. Plus it seems when you read many posts, people are looking to 'fade' the public.

I saw a bunch of posts last night that said the public was all over KC, then a few hours later, the publice was all over Den. I would say if there is a way to get a large database of sportsbooks betting, it would help.

IE, not sure if people are looking for consensus on this site, but more from book. I know a few books that show how the betting is on their site. I would have 2 suggestions.

1) and area with links to MJ sponsored books that show how the betting is going on that site.

2) just like there is the weekly match-up forum for the NFL, maybe do something like that, but include the spreads and make it a poll. This way, people can just go to a particular game, and see who MJ'ers like ATS on that game. Obviously, it wouldn't show units, but you could at least get to see if people like the dog/favorite or over/under

Gibber had a link in his post for sportsbook (sorry if Im not allowed to say that.) and it shows what percentage of the public is on one side. Yesterday for most of the day 72% of the public was on KC yet the line never moved, it actually went up from where it opened at 2. 95% of people were on the KC moneyline. Closer to game time the percentages got a little closer I think they were 69% on KC and 31% on Denver but the line never moved. The books were begging for more KC money. How could the percentages be that lopsided and the line never moved, because the books wanted KC money. That was very helpful for me. There were a lot of good cappers on KC and it was hard to pull the trigger on the other side but in my opinion, last night it wasnt. The concensus on the games from the public is something that seems to help and is a good tool to follow.

Thanks IE.
Good Luck everyone and thanks for all your help.

I dont trust any consensus a book puts out. Why on earth would they want to give you an accurate tool?

It would be fun to know who the hot and cold cappers are, but that would lead to bashing. We got enough of that here.
I think this site is the best.

I agree with Clem. The book I use was saying all day yesterday that heavy action was on Denver and the Under, but from every censensus I saw and from what I read here, everyone was saying the public was on KC and the over.

I really follow the censensus that gibber uses and also the office pool that clem puts out. Between those 2, I have done really well that last 2 weeks. I just need to stop betting on Saturday :cursin:

Among the threads read last night, it seemed to be pretty divided. Several good points were made for both sides and the totals. Thats exactly what a good forum should provide.

After reading through the posts I wasn't swayed either way. My model showed KC a slight favorite, but its too early in the year to be that accurate. I passed on the NFL and put my money on the Angels (as a dog in Oakland.)

All one can really expect from a forum is informative posts. As is expected, some posters get carried away, and there's always "joeblow" with a total of 4 posts who claims to have a "gut feeling" about the game. But once you sift through the riff raff, one can usually find enough credible posts to get a consenses, if thats what you're looking for.

It's always admirable to attempt to improve the sitation, but I think some people are looking for someone to tell them exactly who to bet and thats not what a forum is all about.

sidenote: Did you notice that the consenses lost around 9 games yesterday...
