Back now,

I can just see Scott4USC sitting in the stands at Notre Dame.

When the game goes down and the look on his face when USC goes down in flames sitting next to his Dad. Why so glum....

Did you just lose your best friend? Its not like you lost a down payment on a condo.

Which is why he likes being at Notre Dame. He sees the attention Matt Leinart receives at USC and all the distractions it brings, like being asked this week about whether he is living with singer Nick Lachey.
.................................................................................

Matt living with Nick instead of Jessica. Talk about a living distraction.

Even though both offenses are in the top ten in the country, USC defense ranks 38 overall in the country while ND is 98.

Only thing is USC has had 98 points scored against them and ND
has 120. I like my chances here.

Come on Notre Dame ghosts. Bring out the legends and lets do this thing that we gots to do.

GAME SUMMARY

I don't look at this game as getting screwed. I lost 100 dollars but had a chance to win 3,900.

That is the way I like to gamble. Minimum risk with a big upside if it wins. This was the only game I played Saturday.

This win was so close I could smell it.

I will tell you that I did suffer through every range of emotion in that fourth quarter. When the clock ran out and ND started to celebrate, I yelled so loud the dog jumped off the couch.

Then they add the 3 seconds on the clock, well you know the rest.

The game was lost when one thing happened.

Fourth down and 9 yards to go for USC.
Stop this play and game is over.
Notre Dame had it. They could have ended it right there. Everything they had worked for was there for the taking.

For Lienhart to complete that pass to Jarrett was a thing of destiny. That should not have happened and it won the game for USC. For as good as Notre Dame played all day, that one play exposed their 98 th rank defense. Knock that ball down or any fluke thing to happen and the game is won by Notre Dame.

But what a game plan for Weiss and the Notre Dame team. To keep USC offense off the field with ball control was what got them to that final fourth quarter play. A thing of genius and he almost pulled it off with a team that was clearly over their heads vs #1 USC.

Notre Dame offense was incredible. They came through everytime they were called on. Keeping the game close at half. Getting points and first downs when they had to against the USC vaunted defense. WOW. The ND offense played so well. Good things in ND future.

I will have to say that USC is a team of destiny. Bush is one of the best players that I have ever seen. Couple him with Leinhart, and its tough to beat them. They really are a great overall team.

USC will be impossible to beat the rest of this season. This was the game they should have lost.

I knew the pride of Notre Dame would keep this close. Throw the stats out the window. I also know that I could have loaded up on taking the 12 points. But thats not the way I like to gamble.

King of Dogs prefers to take chances with minimum exposure, in order to win the big bowl of dog food.

Recognizing that ND pride and history brought me
within a eyelash of winning the big money.

+12 point dogs my ars. Notre Dame showed us what pride is all about. Even with lesser talent they were in the game all the way.

What a great classic game to watch.

There will be other games and other chances.....

This is why I gamble.

Yeh you and alot of other people.

Read no further than the tradition of Notre Dame and USC coming into their stadium.

It will be a huge embarressement for Notre Dame to lose by over 12 points.

There is too much pride and heart in that Stadium.

This team will put USC in trouble and test them like they have not been tested.

Its war.

Notre Dame keeps the game close and has a chance to win. I can feel it.

RUDY ....RUDY ..... RUDY !!!!!
