He could not bring himself to lay down that much chalk on his team. That tells me he cant take the points and go against them either. I may have to start calling him Sun Homer Tzu.

You are obviously clueless about me. I am far from a homer. I rarely bet on Texas games period, and am actually a huge Tech fan as well, particlarly in hoops. I bet on Tech as my GOY last year v Texas - I guess i did that as a homer too. I lost on OU v Texas 2 weeks ago - another big homer bet. Contrary to popular opinion you dont have to bet on your team and you dont have to bet evey game on the board.

As for showing my face, I am only in this thread becasue I was emailed about your post - I hate to disappoint you but I am not sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for your posts.

if you were actually someone I gave a shit about, I would caution not to read anything into me not playing the game.

My heart wouldnt have anything to do with how I bet a game. Ever. I thought Texas was going to be around -9 or 10 and if they had been I would have put a rare play out on them. I never even considered Tech in this game as I dont play dogs I dont think can win outright.

You might want to look at what exactly T TECH has doen so far this year.......NOTHING.

They do have a great offense, but that is against sub-par defenses. Texas actually has a good defense and will be able to get some stops.

As for the T TECH defense, they will be lucky to force Texas into 2 punts for the entire game.

I just don't see any way that the T TECH defense can stop Vince Young and Co.

I look for a final of something like 52-27.

That sounds about right to me. JMO.

You may have a shot at a backdoor cover, but that money line bet just sounds nuts to me.

Thanks for all the info ATL, feel like these may be one of the better plays of the week. O, by the way, I hope you're going to play Georgia this week! I remember us being in disagreement on the GA vs Tenn. game and you definitley hit that one. Just wanted you to put some attention towards that game cause I see GA beating the piss out of em.

Also, the other SEC game I like this week, Auburn. I hate the ****in team but I think they're playing pretty good ball. Gonna be a nice fight down there in Baton Rouge, LSU may win, but I think they may have to sweat this one out!

Yeh I see where your coming from.

But the way that I see this is a game of rivalry.

These teams really want to play in this game. The Red Raiders remember last year. Most of the team remembers how that game went down. But this will be differant. They will be able to surprise Texas with their passing game and score.

Texas will probably win this game outright and I dont care two chits. I just want it to cover. Even with the +16 I feel good about this play.

I saw it at +17 this morning and I like that even better.

Damn field goals will be very important.

I am counting on Raiders QB to get them just close enough to kick maybe 3 or 4 field goals. Thats 12 points. Then not to mention 3 or 4 TDS of their own. So that 40.

Texas scores 47 points and I win.

When it sounds nuts is exactly the spots that get me looking closer at a given game.

Texas will blitz on 1st,blitz on 2nd and blitz on 3rd.
KSU did that in the 1st H last week and then gave up the blitzing.

Young and Benson go for 300+ rushing in a 51-21 rout at TT.

Call me a homer,but having seen both these teams many times this season.

I dont usually play Texas games since I am a fan and am not trying to sway your mind.
This is just my opinion based on watching these teams.

This TT defense is the best in years maybe true, but this the most versitle Texas offense EVER. Young is passing way above normal for him and they say Charles will be good to go tomorrow.

The good thing about betting TT(+17) is they can be down 24-28 points with 8 or 9 minutes left and come get a backdoor cover for ya if it is not a close game already.

If Texas blitzs like you say they are going to then TT is going to kill them.

They lead the nation in offense. If Notre Dame was playing everyone would be saying ND might win. And ND is not leading the nation in offense.

Hope Texas can make some half time adjustments. And no funny stuff with fumbles.

TT will show what a ball hawk is. Everyone move to the ball and bust some Longhorn butts.

recover two Texas fumbles and get maybe two interceptions, that will be very helpfull to the moneyline play.

Texas is under huge pressure to keep up with USC. USC had a tough game and almost lost !

Texas need to blow out TT, to show everyone they are worthy of #1.

I am betting on the fact that it will be one of the toughest game for Texas they will play the rest of the year.
