My best friend since high school, have known for 16 years and I have not talked since we got in a fight in Vegas about 6 months ago.

He stated he wanted to go to Vegas and have a last hoorah since his wife was pregnant and he only had so much time left to *party* Anyway, we went down to Vegas and he just wanted to hang out with girls all the time. Blew tons of money gambling and was being a tight wad the whole time. I said thats fine but I got sick of it, I was gambling a lot in the sportsbook too, but I needed no part of hanging out with chicks because c'mon we're both married and he has a kid on the way :nooo: Anyway, I paid for some of his shit on the trip too, which pissed me off because I'm just an ordinary average guy and he comes from money. It really pissed me off though because told me one night at dinner he was not sure if his wife was "right" for him. C'mon dude shoulda thought about that before you married her and knocked her up. Anyway, you aint getting me to cheat on my wife, I love her too much.

And after that we fought quite a bit on that trip about a number of petty things. We just did not get along that well. God, we about tore each others heads off.

Anyway, we haven't talked for 6 months at least his son was born a few days ago so I thought I'd be the bigger man and called him to congratulate him on the birth of his newborn.

My guess would be youll congratulate him, then you 2 will grow apart after that, not talk much. It happens...seems like he is on different maturity level then you.

I'm glad to brighten your day dirty river. Your brownies are playing my beloved men in stripes next week. Care for a friendly cyber wager. You know, Cincinnati v. Cleveland, river v. lake, left v. right, homey v. transplant, reds v. tribe, smart v. dumb?

Since I no longer bet real cash, how bout the loser provides his real address so the winner can, at his choosing, come over and pound the living shit out of the loser. Thats how confident I am.

You would be better off pounding the shit out of yourself, oh that's right you already do that :mj07: :142smilie :142smilie

Kneifl-

In my opinion, you ruined the trip. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Lighten up, Francis..in 40 years, you'll be dead and what you and your partner did in Vegas won't matter then.

Live it up.

If anyone in this discussion saw Sideways, he is the Paul Giammatti character screwing up the scams on the Chicks. Hate to use an old cliche....but ...."This is not a dress rehearsal"!

Kniefl,

I am quite sure you realize that it is absolutely killing me not to make some hilarious comment here, however, I feel for you somewhat.
I think it is important to remember that he is not in the same place as you as far as his matrimonial commitment and happiness is concerned. It is unfortunate that he put you in the middle of it but you have to remember that no man can judge another. I am not condoning his actions as I believe adultery is wrong no matter what. I see ads for divorce for 49 bucks all the time. If I were you I would call to congratulate him and also let him know what you are thinking in a well thought out diatribe and then let whatever will happen..........happen. That bullshit about what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas is true to an extent, but you don't have to like it
