On the course!
I was on the air bitching about Favre today. (I was on hold for quite a bit, as I had to wait my turn.) I finally got on, and was ripping him pretty good. I said things that would make his mama cry, and the host of the show said I was being pretty harsh. He says to me, "You wouldn't say those things if Brett were here!"

I shot back, "Sure I would! Right now, I'm standing in the end zone, so there's no way he'd ever hit me!"

Wow. That's original. Come 'on. You have got to be able to come up with something that at least causes a slight smile. :em38:

Don't be a hypocrite and extoll his virtues when he gets to the Hall of Fame.It would be like dumping on Willie Mays at the end of his career for dropping the routine fly ball for the Mets.A true American football hero,gun-slinger Brett Farve gets old.YYZ for whatever reason you've got a short memory kicking this player when he's obviously down, old and should have retired last year.Just a question, can you honestly say that you have ever achieved excellence at your job comparable to what he was able to do at his???

Witty....very witty!

Witty....very witty!

The "River Boat Gambler" Farve.....ought to break out some Kenny Rogers music and listen very closely:

"you got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em"

It's obvious where this "Hall of Famer" is at and.......how memorable would it have been had Brett sat down at the press conference following that Monday night game when his father passed away and said....."Tonight will be the last time I take the field."

There wouldn't have had a dry eye and that image would have been burnt into sports history not unlike....."The Iron Horse" Lou Gehrig's......"Today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth."

A lost chance to go down as an immortal......instead his departure will simply be forgettable!

Just my take.....and very, very witty yyz. :mj07:

Hadnt thought about that, and your probably right.

Would have to say its about the money and playing it out until the end to cash.

I forget who said one time that they went up to Favre at a hotel pool to tell him how much they enjoyed his game, and Favre brushed him off like a piece of lint.
I know he has gone through some hard times with his Dad and his wife illness and all but

The guys a jerk.

Again, for all the bone heads out there.

His CAREER has nothing to do with NOW!!!!!!!

I don't give a shit if he took GB to every Super Bowl for the last 10 years! What the hell does that have to do with how he's playing this season? He is literally throwing games away.

Each week, and I mean EACH WEEK, Packer fans sit in waiting........wonder when Brett will throw the poorly timed INT that will end the game for Green Bay.

The guy deserves everything he will have coming in the future, but he no longer deserves the "grace period" that some of you want to keep giving him as a "top quality" quarter back.

His bosses need to tell him to either "pull it in, or take a seat". It's really quite simple.

If he sucks so bad and you know it, wouldn't you be happy that you're making money off him every week :mj03:

I would assume he is a Packers fan so he should be pissed.

Maybe he does it on purpose so all cheese head fans could watch Reggie Bush when Brett retires :)

didnt we have these "time to retire" speeches about JOEPA and jerry Rice many years ago? I personally think it is time Brett stepped down, but I wouldnt have the balls to tell someone with that legacy it is time.
