yyz, i checked gb won two divisional titles in 72 and 82 since they won superbowls in 66 and 67. they didnt make the playoffs from 82 till 93. wasnt favre there in 93? matter of fact from 67 till 92 they only had 5 winning seasons, one of those was an 8-7-1 season. from 92 till 03 they had 11 winning seasons and a 500 season. that sum it up?

The ultimate team player would allow himself to be traded at the end of his carrrer.

I know I am going to be bashed for saying so, but seriously Brett's value to the Pack now is greater as tradebait then as an aging QB on a rebuilding team.

At least shop him. Do you not think Al Davis wants FARVE? Do you think he is happy with Tuisisapoipopopo (sp)? Davis would sacrifice his eldest child for another NFL ring before he dies. I just wonder what you could get for him on the open market.

Arizona has made a trade like this before (E.Smith) give them a call.

Chicago...nah not Chicago...

Detroit? Now theres some talent that needs a veteran signal caller.

Remember the en vouge pick being the JETS? F-A-R-V-E FARVE FARVE FARVE.

Just imagine Brett finding a rebirth in a different city like Rice did in Oakland. Green Bay could get some needed help on the O line and Brett could get one more chance.

Lets see having Brett Favre as your starting QB or for say some of the starters on other NFL teams like Joey Harrington, Trent Dilfer, David Carr, Gus Ferrot or anyone else on Miami, Kerry Collins, Kurt Warner, Brad Johnson,Brooks Bollinger or Vinny Testaverde, Mark Brunell, Chris Simms, Mike McMahon, point being you got one of the BEST even though he has had a bad year but I would still take him over any of these and I am sure Most of the NFL teams would too just think what if you had one of these listed or some of the others not listed such as ALEX Smith you would be BITCHING wanting the Packers to trade atleast FAVRE can throw it down the field some of these can't do that!!!!

On the course!
Again, zeke......I couldn't care less what he has done in the past. That doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot when he's 2-10 this season. I don't think they let you into the playoffs based on "past performance". If he's so fukcing great, then he shouldn't be making these mistakes, should he?

And one thing I am pretty sure of about Joey Harrington, Trent Dilfer, David Carr, Gus Ferrot or anyone else on Miami, Kerry Collins, Kurt Warner, Brad Johnson,Brooks Bollinger or Vinny Testaverde, Mark Brunell, Chris Simms, Mike McMahon is..........they can throw the ball away when they should!

I don't want him traded.......I don't want him retired. I want him to take his head out of his ass. I want his coaches to make him accountable, and maybe assist him with getting his head out of his ass! If that means benching him as a wake up call, I'm all for it!

I highly doubt the next guy up to bat will fill his shoes, but he can't do any worse than get another "L", can he?

favre isn't the most pleasant person in public. we were at at the fed ex st jude golf tourney in memphis this past summer - a buddy of mine stood there in a packers jersey begging for an autograph and favre didn't even acknowledege him.... i realize they are asked all of the time, but this was a charity event for the kids - at least reward a guy who is spending $$ and stands in line with a bunch of women that received their autograph requests. on the other hand, terry bradshaw even signed between shots on different holes - big difference.imo

Which local radio station? 1570 the Score or 1400 in GB? If it was GB I'm sure Havel was pissed. He and Favre are pretty close.

I thought it was funny. Heaven forbid anyone says anything bad about number 4.

It was just a joke. I wouldn't waste my time actually calling a local show around here. 1570? What a farce that station is! Shane Sparks? Scott Stevens? I don't want to be lumped in with the other 7 guys who call that show every day!

:mj07:

Brett's always had players and coaches around him who made him look smarter than he really is, I guess. Now that they are not there........well, you see the results.

The funny thing was that I read this post a few days ago but just came back to actually ask if you really did call the station. At first I bought it, but after thinking about the joke figured you were just messing with us...at least I was hoping for that. I'd be surprised if you had called the station, didn't think you were that type of obsessed sports fan!
