With all due respect... why so much love for San Diego? I understand Denver's got nothing to play for, but San Diego's got even less on the line. Tomlinson has not been himself since this injury, and we all know that regardless of who starts at RB for Denver, the guy is likely to be productive.

Year in year out, the position with the best depth in the NFL is Denver Broncos running backs. Add that to the fact that Plummer is slated to play now... adds up to Broncos +10.5 as the play for me.

i'll grant the name is misleading... but I'm not a Broncos fan. Well, tomorrow I am.

Just think the +10.5 is a lot of points for a team that's gotta be disappointed to be giving. Don't know if Schottenehimer is the coach to provide that kind of motivation. We shall know in about 24 hours.

if plummer plays more than a quarter ...coaching staff should have its head examined...they are playing FOR NADA...nothing ..zero...they go through the motions here and hope to get out as healthy as possible...

everything i have read regarding SD is that they want this win...specifically they mentioned 10 wins as a goal for them...Denver might hang early but eventually SD should pull away...i would be very very surpsrised if DENVER plays thier starters longer than a few series...it is a lot of points ...but so was INDY last week against seattle...

if they do play thier starters for an extended period ..and suffer major injuries that would be a major mistake...

LaDainian Tomlinson, RB SD

News: The Union-Tribune reports LaDainian Tomlinson admitted that his rib injuries are more severe than the public realizes. "Yeah of course, if it's still bothering me it's more than a bruise," Tomlinson said.

Analysis: Tomlinson has been on a cold streak but is still expected to start in Week 17. He could lose some carries to Michael Turner is a game that means little to the Chargers.

I like San Diego here also. I don't see Jake Plummer playing a lot in this game. Denver only has one backup and he has only taken four professional snaps in his career. His name is Bradlee Van Pelt and I think he will come into the game early. He needs the experience. Plus the field might be sloppy which could heighten the risk of Plummer getting injured making it more likely he gets out of the game early.
Al Wilson their best linebacker is out. Al Wilson is one of the best linebackers in the league. His replacement is a special teams player with limited experience at linebacker. This is a huge plus for San Diego.
San Diego wants this win. They want to reach double digits in wins. 10 looks a lot better than 9. They also played poorly against KC. They don't want to end their season on that sour note. Shottenheimer said on the Chargers website that Brees, Tomlinson and the rest of the starters would play the whole game barring injury.
San Diego is good against the run. Couple this with the fact that Mike Anderson is out and there is another reason to like the Chargers.
