After a tough road win on Saturday at Auburn, my homestate LSU Tigers head to Nashville to take on Vandy. Commodores presently on the outside looking in, and probably realize that a big late season run is the only way they will get any at-large consideration.

LSU a rather thin team, and consecutive road games probably will wear them down a bit, esp. this late in the season. Really see no way they pull off the W in a perennially tough place to play.

Vandy -1 15 Units (for me that's a dime and a half)

Very big play for me - also, check out the golf forum for another big play I have going in the World Match Play event.

And as always, good luck no matter which sides you choose - LA Burns

Tough spot for the tigers here but that seems like a large play on Vandy. LSU could potentially be looking ahead to Kentucky on Sat in Baton Rouge but I don't see it as a 15 unit play even if your units are .10 LSU will give up some 3's early switch to a 2-3 and with the bigs LSU has outrebound the comodores. Rememeber if you live by the 3 you die by the 3. LSU wins by 3.

Since you like Vandy tonight I thought you might be interested in my take on the game.

In the past Vandy has been a gimme at home giving or getting less than 5. So far this year they are 1-1 in that category. Here's the good news. Stallings has finally figured out that his team can out shoot most teams so the more shots they put up the better chance they have of winning. Tonight look for them to run and run and run. They are hoping to wear out the 320 pounder (Davis) from LSU. They also have four big men with 5 fouls each to give and will be playing very physical under the basket (not a Vandy trait). If Byers can give Foster a little help, that would be nice too. All five Vandy starters could go off for over 20 in any game and have.

Vanderbilt is scoring about 13 more at home than on the road while LSU is scoring about 13 less (SEC play). Vandy is ave about 73 at home in SEC play and if they get that tonight they will probably win.

Good luck on your play.

GSP - thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Line fluctuation is confusing me, as tight books are still sitting at 1 while some loose books have moved line to 1.5. Really thought line would move to Vandy - 2 or 2.5. Wonder if I'm missing something, just really don't see LSU winning this game, they simply won't want it as much. Brady 0-4 at Vandy and from his quotes in today's N.O. Times Picayune it seems as though this game is not at the top of his priority list.

Anyone else with info on this game? Would be appreciated.

Letting it roll with Vandy - just going to buckle up the seatbelt and hope the ride isn't too bumpy.

Adding - 5 Units Ga. Tech + 11.5

Very emotional game for Duke on Sunday and I just feel that they come out with a little bit less intensity than they normally do. Jackets will come out on fire and I think the difference in desire will be enough to keep it within single digits.

Don't look past LSU this year they played UConn tough lost by 1 point, they best West Virginia on the road and lost close games to Cin and Ohio State. This LSU team is young but has one of the top 5 players in the land in Tyrus Thomas, they have nice balance, their weaknesses are coaching, and shallow bench.

Coaching and shallow bench are big factors late in the year

Was at dinner and got in the car to hear the end of the first half as well as half time analysis - bought 10 units back at LSU +.5 second half to save a little - opened myself up to a loss with a vandy 1 point win though, not necessarily very smart

oh well - on to tomorrow
