"My fellow Americans:

"Thirty minutes ago, on my command, the United States, leading a coalition of peace-loving nations, began striking targets in Iran. This is the opening stage of a broad and concerted campaign to defend the civilized world from the threat posed by nuculer weapons in the hands of a regime known for supporting terror.

"In the spring of 2006, Iran announced that it had, for the first time, enriched uranium, a key process in the production of fuel for nuculer reactors and nuculer weapons. Iran's president promised that his nation's aims were peaceful. However, the United States has obtained incontrovertible proof that Iran is just days from producing nuculer arms.

"I am not unmindful of the skepticism with which this information is regarded by some. They feel that because coalition forces never found the weapons of mass destruction we expected to find in Iraq, we should ignore the grave and gathering threat posed by Iran.

"My fellow Americans, I reject these assaults on the credibility of our intelligence-gathering operations. The situations are not at all alike.

"Yes, when we invaded Iraq, we were really sure we'd find weapons of mass destruction. But as we invade Iran, we are really, really, really sure. That's three reallys, my fellow Americans - two more than before.

"Indeed, we are guided by the greatest preponderance of intelligence in history. And I'll tell you what I'm going to do: I'm going to declassify it and share it with you so you'll know we're not making this up. I mean, we've intercepted e-mails from the Iranian president asking his defense minister when the nuculer weapons will be ready. The defense minister replies, 'Tuesday.' And the president types in, 'lol' - that's a code they use on the Internets for 'laughing out loud' - and he says, 'Boy, we really fooled 'em, didn't we? The Great Satan will never know what hit it.'

"'Great Satan.' That's their name for you and me, my fellow Americans.

"There's more proof, too. We have photographs of the nuculer weapons taken by a janitor with a tiny digital camera in his turban. Now, I'm not going to mention what shift he works, because we have to protect his identity. No telling what they'd do to him if they found out he was spying for the CIA.

"We also know the address where the weapons are being kept. It's at 1367 Prophet Mohammed Blessings On His Name Blvd. NE, just south of Death to Israel Circle. We even ran it through Mapquest, so we know exactly how to get there. See, we've done our homework on this thing.

"So it serves no useful purpose for people to suggest that American credibility was damaged because of a few understandable mistakes in Iraq. Iraq and Iran are different countries. That's why they're spelled different. Yet we keep reading all these negative stories quoting members of Congress, Army generals, plumbers, teachers and nurses, all asking if we know what we're doing this time. What's even worse is the stories quoting unnamed White House sources. And I wish the first lady would cut it out.

"Such questions only embolden the enemy and insult our brave coalition partners - Monaco and Liechtenstein.

"It's my job to make the tough decisions necessary to protect the American people. And you can't protect the American people by having a pre-9/11 mentality in a post-9/11 world. It just won't work. Anybody tells you it will, they're disassembling. That means they're lying.

"The bottom line is, an enemy that hates us and our way of life is about to acquire nuculer weapons. We cannot allow that to happen.

"Yes, I know some of you are skeptical. You're just going to have trust us."

"the bunker"
a shortcut to a cnn video arguing the "hypocrisy" of not allowing iran to achieve it`s nuclear ambitions....
the video is currently on page 4 of this list of videos; there is apparently no way to link directly to it.

A man walks into the DMV and says "I would like a drivers license"

The man behind the counter says "What are you going to do with this drivers license?"

The man says "I'm going to get drunk and run people off the road and watch them crash and burn".

liberals like CNN say "This man has every right to have a drivers license just like everyone else has".

This man admits that he's not responsible, yet he should have the privilage of driving a deadly weapon? ""

helllooo???...iran is being treated more harshly than either pakistan or india were because it has a former hostage taker at the helm who aspires to nuke israel, washington and london and pave the way for the return of the twelfth imam.....

"" TEHRAN, Iran — Iran has formed battalions of suicide bombers to strike at British and American targets if the nation’s nuclear sites are attacked. According to Iranian officials, 40,000 trained suicide bombers are ready for action.

In a tape recording heard by The Sunday Times, Abbasi warned the would-be martyrs to “pay close attention to wily England” and vowed that “Britain’s demise is on our agenda.”

america(and the west) is so hypocritical for not allowing their sworn enemies to have the same weapons that we have.....

moral relativism is a mental illness....

I saw where Iran said they are training suicide bombers for U.S. deployment. If I were GW I tell them for every bomb they detonate on U.S. soil we will reduce one city in Iran to ashes.

If they think it is idle threat maybe Iran could conference with UBL for verification. Two buildings=Two countries!

You really are a glass half-full kind of guy, aren't you, Dogs?

Saw that you're headed to Vegas in late June. When I first saw that you were going to approach the wife with a visit to Sin City with your internet gambling friends as a delayed honeymoon, I really didn't think it was going to work out so well for you. You must be a helluva salesman.

Two wars that we decide to fund with debt to China and the Middle East so now they can tank our dollar on a whim. Is it that hard to see who's winning the "war (sic) on terror"?

If Iran is this bad....and I believe they are, then why didn't we attack them instead of Iraq in the first place?

BBC Wasn't so bad hardest part was trying to explain what "killing to birds with one stone ment".:)

Would agree your probably correct on China. Wifes sister works at bank there that is building gated community and bank officers were offered one unit for 20% discount preconstruction (to be completed 4-07) only $47,000 3 bed 2 bath and garage. Thought it would be good investment and no brainer hedge. You pay property tax one time. Lots of advantages in China. I just can't see how 50% of US is going to support the other 50% in the future.
Like having option of taking my ball elsewhere and can envision many thinking same way. If they don't do something to curtail litigation cost you will see mass exodus of business's.

Let's look at the facts
(quoted from a news article)

""1.) Iran is ruled by a fascist mullohcracy which recently issued a fatwa sanctioning the use of nuclear weapons.

2.) Ahmadinejad has boasted that Iran wants to "wipe Israel off the map."..about one hundred times...and he`s flipped the west,al baradei and the u.n. the bird...

3.) A few years ago, Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani—a man considered "moderate" by the standards of the Iranian regime—boasted that "a single atomic bomb has the power to completely destroy Israel."

4.) Ahmadinejad claims the Holocaust is a hoax.

5.) Ahmadinejad has publicaly said that the the United States is in its "last throes," an ofuli (sunset) power destined to be superceded by the toluee (sunrise) of the Islamic republic.""

they....iran.....proclaim that they are moving forward with their nuclear plans....

they...iran....are going to wipe israel off the map....send suicide bombers into britain....and the u.s....

we started from nothing in 1941 and built a bomb in 4 years..what's going to stop the iranians from doing the same now that the technology is known, super computers and super technology are there to assist, etc.....

.but, according to these "experts" we still have to wait 5 years for north korea to have nukes(5 yrs ago they said it would take 10yrs).....

they pretty much declared war on us...... and the msm and the "neville chamberlains" on this board staying silent on this and staying on point that bush ****ed up iraq ad nauseum....

news flash...that doesn`t change the fact that iran wants to bring the 12th imam out of his burrow...

and as in ww2,possibly millions of lives wil be llost(not a few thousand).....

clearly, iran will bear primary responsibility.... but, their apologists and the wobbly appeasers bear a close second....

i`ll let you get back to american idol...

i`m not brow-beating you bro.......but i`ve been reading up and this shit is very serious....

a critical mass of U235 uranium is 110 pounds... one pound of uranium is about the size of your thumb. ....

imagine several critical masses worth of this material traveling in hundreds or even thousands of tiny lots-- they "swarm" us......

a critical mass can be accumulated where needed and then detonated using hardware store materials....

i am thinking of when chechyan terrorists rented an apartment in russia, loading the apartment with explosives, then destroying the apartment building... but on a much larger scale......

for added fun, a nuclear device could be placed next to a petroleum tank farm to blow all the petroleum in a desired direction....lots of options....lots of death...

iran has been attacking for decades through terrorist proxies...i am sure that if enriched uranium were dispatched to proxies, tehran would retain control with an iron hand-- a deeply hidden, iron hand......

deniability, of course. .....downtown baltimore and/or washington vanishes-- they say, "well, it wasn't us.....not everybody likes you, man....what a shame"......

honestly...i`m thinking that real estate in the carribean is looking like a better and better investment every day.......

I hope that Iran hurries and gets the bomb so that this talk about attacking them stops. You see America does not talk about attacking any nation that has a nuclear bomb. Only poor 3rd world countries that it's about 10 times bigger than and no nukes. What's taking so long in Iraq anyway? The best military in the world and 3 years later they are still killing us and no end in sight. Is the military overrated?

"the ones that actually root for failure in Iraq....that rooted for failure in viet nam..."

Spytheweb.....it would be easy to win in Iraq if we just treated Iraq like we did Germany and Japan, and just bomb the hell out of them until all movement stopped......not saying we should do that, but what we ARE engaged in is a guerilla war, where the enemy is not wearing a uniform and casual civilians are not fired upon.....that is why we, being the mightiest military in the world, have been stuck there for 3+ years there, and why yes, we will fail there as has been the case with other guerilla wars fought on this planet, namely our own stint in Vietnam and the Russians in Afghanistan.....there are more instances of this foolishness....but history has absolutely proven that time is not on the side of the mighty military force, but on the side of the weak, more patient and stealthy foe who merely has to snipe at the mighty force until the mighty force collapses under the weight and cost of maintaining a prolonged and unsustainable engagement.

As far as GW's comment on "rooting for failure".....rooting for failure and realizing we can't win with the current strategy are two separate ideas......this thing in Iraq is headed for the same fate as Vietnam.....

The motives for Vietnam are different but I will go to my grave with the thought that Vietnam was an absolute waste and illegal war that the government forced upon the American taxpayer, and forced over 50,000 of our youth to a death sentence and many more maimed for the effort of fighting another sovereign country's civil war.

Our government had no right to place this burden upon the American people.

On top of going to Vietnam, when we got there we decided to fight a guerilla war in the jungles instead of taking the fight to North Vietnam, and instead of ending a war quickly our government decided to fight an unwinnable war and draw out the conflict over the course of 10 years and leave defeated instead of employing strategies to force the North to quit.

Vietnam was too political, fought too much with "rules of engagement", for anyone in that wars beginning stages to even begin to think that that war was winnable.

So not only did the govt fight an illegal war, they didn't play to win and get out.

Don't blame our military for horse shit leadership and piss poor planing. We should have left Rummyhead retired. And the guy that hired him was nuts. Maybe still is. None of it our military fault. And finally some are speaking up. And many are conservatives.
How refreshing.

Thats why all we have to do is this.

Dear Iran , Syria , North Korea , and a few others.

This is to inform you that if the US is attacked in any way with any type of bio, nuke, or terrorist attack.

You will all receive a amount of nukes to stop your country from existing.

Good luck and God Bless us all

Hey KOD do they still get there 35 virgins under those condition.
I agree you have the order as it should be. Our goal now is make sure they understand these are the rules. I feel sorry for folks from Iran. They say over 70% of the people of Iran are and want to be friends with America. If so time for them to step and save there asses. Even if it means 10000/15000 deaths to do it. It's better then having 1 or 2 million gone in a minute or two.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
What was really said, and what the controlled news said are two different things....here is what Iran's Prez said about Isreal's destruction....

But let's take a closer look at what Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said. It is a merit of the 'New York Times' that they placed the complete speech at our disposal. Here's an excerpt from the publication dated 2005-10-30:

"They say it is not possible to have a world without the United States and Zionism. But you know that this is a possible goal and slogan. Let's take a step back. [[[We had a hostile regime in this country which was undemocratic, armed to the teeth and, with SAVAK, its security apparatus of SAVAK [the intelligence bureau of the Shah of Iran's government] watched everyone. An environment of terror existed.]]] When our dear Imam [Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Iranian revolution] said that the regime must be removed, many of those who claimed to be politically well-informed said it was not possible. All the corrupt governments were in support of the regime when Imam Khomeini started his movement. [[[All the Western and Eastern countries supported the regime even after the massacre of September 7 [1978] ]]] and said the removal of the regime was not possible. But our people resisted and it is 27 years now that we have survived without a regime dependent on the United States. The tyranny of the East and the West over the world should have to end, but weak people who can see only what lies in front of them cannot believe this. Who would believe that one day we could witness the collapse of the Eastern Empire? But we could watch its fall in our lifetime. And it collapsed in a way that we have to refer to libraries because no trace of it is left. Imam [Khomeini] said Saddam must go and he said he would grow weaker than anyone could imagine. Now you see the man who spoke with such arrogance ten years ago that one would have thought he was immortal, is being tried in his own country in handcuffs and shackles [[[by those who he believed supported him and with whose backing he committed his crimes]]]. Our dear Imam said that the occupying regime must be wiped off the map and this was a very wise statement. We cannot compromise over the issue of Palestine. Is it possible to create a new front in the heart of an old front. This would be a defeat and whoever accepts the legitimacy of this regime [Israel] has in fact, signed the defeat of the Islamic world. Our dear Imam targeted the heart of the world oppressor in his struggle, meaning the occupying regime. I have no doubt that the new wave that has started in Palestine, and we witness it in the Islamic world too, will eliminate this disgraceful stain from the Islamic world."
