I joined a new league, it has 10 guys, I get to choose where I want to pick. The only spot I cannot choose is the number 1 spot, already taken.

If you had your choice, where would you want to pick? (and why)

I would want to be in the top 3 in order to get one of the stud runningbacks (Tomlinson, Johnson, or Alexander). In a 10-team league, there will still be plenty of talent available with your next few picks.

Agree with the above. You don't want 4, I know that. I had 4 in one league this year and prayed that someone would make a bonehead move and not take one of the big 3 (figured someone might grab Manning maybe?). Didn't happen...and I had to settle for Tiki Barber. Which is a pretty big step down from LJ, LT & SA.

So 4 sucks. :)

On the other hand....I had 12 in another league and still got Peyton Manning with that. At 12, ok, I think that's a pretty good deal.

number 2 is ideal. grab 1, or 3 after that.
then just grab one toward then end (8,9,10,11,12)

number 4 is the worst.
I have number four in my final draft.

WHo should i take
edge, tiki, or manning.

tds are all 6 points.

Depends on the actual scoring system used, but I determined Tiki was the pick for #4 in all 3 leagues I've been in so far (all have slightly different scoring systems). Can't say I'm thrilled with it though. Also slightly concerned Brandon Jacobs could cut into Tiki's numbers. Jacobs has looked very good in preseason, FWIW.

My vote would be #3. #4 is tough this year because of the injury to Portis and the drop off after LJ, LT and SA. #3 gets you a stud back guaranteed.

Take Tiki with your number 4 pick... taking manning would be a really bad idea and put you in a tough spot with RBs. Thats not how you want to start a season.

Take #10. If you're in a serpintine league, you'll get 2 of the top 11 players in the draft. That's better than anyplace outside of the top 2.

I agree... I originally thought you posted take #10 overall over anything, then I re-read and you said its the best besides 1-2... I think picks 4-5-6-7 suck to have this year.

I agree 5-8 are bad picks imo because you are left with question mark studs from last year like portis, barber (who I took in my league), and you can always take the early QB in Manning.
