Hudson Valley area.....NY
Going to leave for Chicago in a few hours.Tomr[friday] I will go see the Cubs-Rockies play at Wrigley.never been to Wrigley. It's a life long dream come true.I guess I'll have to imagine Ernie Banks,Billy Williams,Ron Santo and Fergie Jenkins playing. How many times over the years I watched them play on TV.Black and white Tv too.
Then on saturday its the Golden Dome. Have tickets to Notre Dame-Purdue.I'll imagine Terry Henratty,Nick Eddie,Jerry Seymore and that crew. I see Nick Eddy running the ball. was his number 47.If it was I've got some memory.
Anyway these are my picks this week

Akron -3 over Kent ****
Getsy should be able to throw the ball.Kent playing great. zips are a better team

Kansas St +1.5 over Baylor *** * Cats defense stops Baylor
Mich St -31 over Illi *** Lyr 61-14..After Nd debacle...its blowout

Rutgers -4 over So Fl **
be careful here. lyr So Fl beat them 45-31.RU defense has stepped up.Rice and Leonard are some tandem. But Teel there qb is not very good.Horrible passing and reading.USF defense will try to stop the run. His arm won't beat anybody.Knights are one dimensiol. There 4-0 vs teams with a 4-11 record.Think they win but small play.

Purdue +14 over ND. **
I'll be there. ND wins but Painter should be able to throw a couple.
Mid Tenn +3 over North Texas **
NT has MT's number in the past.NT offense is bad. So is MT's.But NT should be giving pts to anybody.Nt wins 24-23.

Akron and Kansas st best bets
See you guys on monday...GL

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Box -

I was in Chicago in August for the PGA at Medinah and made my first trip to Wrigley - a Friday afternoon game against the Cardinals. An awesome experience and timeless ballpark in every respect. I hope you arrive on the "L" platform from downtown. Our best photos were those we took before and after the game while standing in the front row by the 1st base dugout. Enjoy.

Hey Box -

Hey Box -

Have a great time at Wrigley, really hard not to - also have always found that being around Wrigley lends itself to easy total betting as you'll have a bird's eye view of the weather

Have a buddy who works at the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse downtown as a bartender - I know that there's a bunch of other great places to go in the city, but if you go to Ruth's for dinner, ask for Todd, better known as "Goldberg", and tell him Scott from New Orleans sent you - he'll set you up real nice

Have fun man, definitely jealous -

Hopefully your seats at Wrigley aren't underneath the upper deck, Box. If so, you can't see fly balls into the outfield unless you look up at monitor. If you find that your seats are located there, just wait until after 1st pitch and go look for open seats in the upper deck. Its a day game late in the season that means nothing--as Pat Hughes says on the radio--'plenty of good seats still available'...lol
Killer views of Lake Michigan from up there and you can see the whole field as well.
If you have been to Fenway, you already have an idea of what Wrigley is like...:D
