I know I'm a rookie posting in this league, but I disagree. The Jayhawks have looked good on D and they had some turnovers deep in S FL territory last week or that would have been a bigger number.

This is obviously a different opponent and there's no doubt the huskers win this and probably comfortably, but I'll take the points 21.5 and I think I get the $$ that way.

More in the 27-13 range from my perspective!

Good luck!

i've looked at the game stats and Kansas will have trouble scoring.

50 might be a good number

Keep pounding the Huskers... :142smilie

Kansas is going to cover and will make this a decent game. A 27-13 Nebraska win or even closer is a solid prediction. Jayhawks have a couple NFL caliber players on their defense. KU has a good RB and 2 decent QB's. Nebraska beat a Troy State club playing their 3rd consecutive road game... Troy basically went through the motions and got killed as they were beat up from back-to-back road games against Ga Tech & Fla State. Now, all the betting public loves Nebraska this week... keep betting them, I would love to get Kansas +24.5 or better. I can just see a typical square, "Nebraska wants revenge, they are going to kill Kansas... I don't care about the spread." This is exactly what my cousin said last weekend and trust me, he's a public better who likes teasers, parlays, and all the other sucker, square bets.

By the way, anyone willing to give me Kansas +50, I will give them 4-1 odds... let me know.

Please don't be offended by my post, let the game be played and if Nebraska wins by 50, I'll come in this thread and give you accolades, however, it's not going to happen.

?That?s the best football team we?ve played in a long time,? said Troy head coach Larry Blakeney. ?I don?t know what they call that offense ? the West Coast, East Coast, South Coast or Canadian. Whatever. It?s very well-designed and gave us more than we could handle.?

nebraska is a damn good football team, probably one of the top 12 in the country if you stacked'em side by side. yes, usc's speed on defense gave them trouble. but for god's sake, playing in week 3 AT usc with a bunch of relativley inexperienced players on both sides of the ball is going to be tough. they will learn from that game the rest of the year. kansas is not in the same hemisphere as nebraska in 2006.

mark this down. nebraska will beat texas in lincoln october 21.

Hope you're right DD, but I doubt it.

I have seen every KU game so far... and I dont view myself as a square... and I just dont think this team has the experiance to go into Lincoln and make this thing close. You saw how they played on the road against an inferior Toledo team... where they put them away but for some reason kept giving the game back...

There defense is too young to make a difference... and the only NFL caliber player I see out there is Talib.

But the problem is going to be offensively when they fall behind and have to come from behind. That is where it could get ugly, IMO.

Dont get me wrong... I would be the most happy person in the world on Saturday if KU won (or was even in a position in the second half to win)... I just dont see it happening... GL on your play, though.

Thor,

I was a little heated by the comments about Kansas football being so awful. My comments weren't directed to you. I know Kansas could get blown out... night game in Lincoln where audibles will be difficult, revenge, Kansas plays bad on the road, etc.

Keep in mind, Kansas only lost 14-8 in a night game @ Lincoln just 2 years ago. I don't see Kansas being intimidated and I think they play a respectable game. Just my $.02.

destrutor,

in all seriousness, kansas may not be intimidated, just greatly outclassed. the nebraska team of 2 years ago was terrible. this 2006 team is not.

my prediction..39-10 huskers.

OK, who knew what they were talking about and who didn't??? Look, when KU was down 17-0, I thought I was going to eat crow, however, Kansas should have won this game, every bs call went Nebraska's way... I told everyone the squares would take Nebraska... who covered???
I know my football and this game was easy!

Did you watch the game Vinnie... maybe your mob buddies had the refs in their backpocket. Anyway, it must be nice to push off like Nebraska did on their late TD or get the ball at the 1 yard line when it should have been a touchback for Kansas in OT.

Vinnie:142smilie :mj07: Didn't Nebraska win the game 60-0 like I predicted:sadwave: :com: :nono:
