Just thinking the same thing absolutely no D on either team! definetly not worthy of being labeled a top five matchup!

Its sad, b/c you could just as easily say that both offenses are great.

Thats why I like my idea about having 8 conf. champions play in a tourney setting. It makes it very fair and you don't end up with a possible pretender playing for the nat'l title.

We don't really know if L'ville is a "pretender" until they are already in the Fiesta Bowl....

Also remember, scoring wise, that there was a defensive score, and a special teams score.

Not sticking up for these 2 defenses, but thats 14 pts not given up as well as they both did create turnovers.

Overall, I think the big east sucks, but I think these 2 teams could each finish 3rd in the Big 10.

I am not denying these teams are quality/good teams with some great athletes. However, I do not think they are the 3rd best team in the nation. However, it is not their fault - all they can do is win the games in front of them. Its a broken system, and we are in a desparate need of a playoff - so the speculation/hypothecation can end. No disrespect to them, but I just have a hard time mentioning these teams in the same argument as OSU, Mich, Aub, Fla, Texas, USC.

Maybe I'm just bias and a homer, who knows.

Correct me if i'm wrong but when was the last time two top 5 teams matched up that produced 1000 yds of offense:scared c'mon even if these are two juggernaut offenses there were recievers running wide open everywhere, missed tackles, just plain bad defense!
with all that said Louisville did what they had to do but I will never be convinced that even if they go thru the big east undefeated that they are better team than a one loss Texas, Florida, Auburn,Ohio st or Michigan, Cal, USC..... heck I cannot even confidently say they beat a two loss LSU team.:shrug:
