finally someone talking sense.. peoplyomany e in on it.. u would need way too most who make millions anyway.. the sheer cost you would have to offer these players would be astronomical.. the idea is ludicrous

ask neil odonnel about how many people it takes..... joking gib and bdb, but a grumpy Raider's fan knows it only takes one replay official to F'k a game up......

anyway, i didn't bet this week because the nfl is wierd right now.imo

or that fat fck siragusa intentionally siting on gannon in the afc championship game when the ravens cheated their way to the superbowl.

or the bullshit tuck call where brady fumbled.

not fixes, just bad circumstances and incredibly lame tactics by siragusa. he should still be serving an assault sentence in guitmo.

that was my first comeback from that far down in recent memory ,.... fix? was it a fix when cincy marched for a TD in closing moments of FH?

damn, LT ran hard, 4tds, Rivers was on target ... CP threw for 400+

fix?

sd covered, was it lucky? who the heck knows ... there are 2 halves to games, was it lucky that cincy got ahead; I mean they werent even that close to covering in end, they go for two they have to make it remember ...

anyhow, every year we hear "fix" in pros and its like UFOs--show me some pics

ccny, KY, tulane, BC in cbb

prob a few more im missing, but it doesn get old

when I lose in these type of games I expect it, when I win im shocked ... therein lies the truth of gambling :)

sorry you lost

I think its fairly easy to assume that there are a few refs with thier pockets open whom could easily change the balance of a game with one or two holding calls. Its not about the players although in Michael vicks case i could see him and his scumbag family and posse betting huge against the Falcons. Some of the Naive people here need to understand that wherever there is huge easy money to be made corruption will follow. Sad but true. Go back and watch last years playoffs and superbowl.

the only professional sport where a fix could occur is an nba game.

a missed free throw here, a missed jumper there would cause no suspicion.

in the nfl you would need 22 guys to perfectly orchestrate a play.

and in baseball even if you throw soft, the guns pick that up and a guy still has to hit it.

i believe that the nba certainly has its share of funny business, but to say that a professional football game is fixed is crazy. the linemakers are just that good. they had a game at -1/+1 and it almost landed on 1. that's pretty sharp to me.

Take a look at last year's Superbowl. Now, I'm not sayin' the game was fixed, BUT it sure seems like the refs were doing everything possible to keep Seattle out of the endzone. The first bad call was offensive pass interference on the WR in the endzone. The commentators mentioned how horrible the call was and that they've seen worst pushoffs from WRs before that did not result in a penalty. Another major bad call was offensive holding later on in the game. Hasselbeck threw a long pass to Jeramy Stevens, who ended up on the Pitt 1 yard line. Right after the play, a LATE flag was thrown (the call was holding on one of the o-linemen). During the replay, Madden was puzzled and said he didn't see any holding on that play. Prior to watching this game, I thought the same as most of you. I didn't think it was possible to fix a pro football game because it wouldn't be possible to payoff 22 millionaires. However, this game made me realize you didn't have to pay a single player to fix a game. What if the refs (who are paid way less than the players) were paid off? Just one or two bogus calls (a bogus offensive holding call here, a bogus pass interference call there, etc.) can change the ENTIRE OUTCOME OF A GAME!! Now I'm NOT saying that these games are fixed, I'm just saying that if someone wanted to fix it, it would be way easier than we once thought......

finally someone talking sense.. you would need way too many people in on it.. most who make millions anyway.. the sheer cost you would have to offer these players would be astronomical.. the idea is ludicrous

Why do you think they make millions?

Im sorry but you cant be this dumb. It would just take one player not 22 fool. I think the refs are the real culprit however and if you watch the playoffs closely it becomes way too obvious to ignore. big Money = corruption. there is no getting around that.
