Buddy Could you do search and put how long it took last admin to defeat a bunch of women and children on our own soil (waco)

I think you'll find it was longer than it took this one to occupy capitals on both afgan and Iraq combined.

--and if want to count fighting men that shoot back took one day in somolia to retreat.

People that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

We used to make jokes about the French and retreating and now they are the ones making fun of one of our parties.

They been saying if Dems win in 08 we will have new tanks issued with one forward gear and four in reverse. :)

oh brother

comparing waco to iraq is what makes DTB DTB

If we want to go in another direction with this ridiculous 'Waco' analogy, maybe Wayne can do a 'search' of his own and let us know how long it took us to defeat two huge armies simultaneously in two seperate theaters back in the 40's.

Hint: It's less than the 4 years we've been screwing around with ragtag, semi-organized groups armed with RPG launchers and IED's.

Oh, is that an irrelevant, poor comparison?

and I assume the comparison of conquering the countries army and stopping suicide bombers from different source as being same thing is valid?

Defeating countries army and dealing with terrorist after the fact are two entirely diff battles waged entirely differently.

There is no way to stop a suicide bomber--defeating the countries army's in days was done in record order--I am sure you like the comparison to Waco--quite embarrassing isn't it.

but if you want to disregard it fine--we'll compare the taking of 2 countries vs the failure to secure a single embassy in Somolia--either shows the extreme success and failure of 2 administrations.

Not that I want to join this psychotic dialog but what exactly did Bush do in three months that allowed him to strengthen the military so much that it could basically take out two unarmed countries in record time. Really DTB tell us. What he did in his first three months to the military he inherited?

I don't even understand much of this post, but if you consider our invasion and occupation of Iraq a 'success', then we probably have nothing more to discuss on this matter.

As far as Waco (wtf does this even have to do with anything), i've posted numerous times that this was an embarassment to Reno. Along with Elian Gonzales and many other things.

Let's talk about watergate and the bay of pigs while we're at it. Or how about Kosovo?

BTW- you *do* understand that the main problem in Iraq isn't 'terrorists', don't you?

Believe Kosovo wasa peace keeping mission with little or no action Matt.

Yes I deem intial part of war a tactical success--the planning afterwards--poor

Bottom line is the world in general and especially U.S. is looking at some volitile times with radicals in the future--and when every radical element (including our own) are pulling for one party--I'm pulling for the other--whoever it may be.
