Bad news for Canadian Neteller Users. I copied the FAQ from the Canadian part of the site. Time to get your cash out of the books/poker rooms and into your banks. I just got my money out of Pinny and I hope to have it back in via instadebit by the beginning of baseball season.

Did NETELLER stop allowing Canadian members to make fund transfers with online gambling sites?
With a recent review of its service to Canadian members, NETELLER announced that members who reside in Canada will no longer be able to transfer funds to and from online gambling sites. Read the most recent press release.

When is the last day that I can transfer funds with an online gambling site?
On April 9, 2007 all transfers to and from online gambling sites will be disabled for Canadian members.

Why did NETELLER make this decision?

NETELLER decided to cease online gambling transactions for Canadian members due to increased uncertainty about the status of certain activities related to online gambling in Canada.

How do I know if I am a Canadian member?
If your registered address with NETELLER is located in Canada, you are considered a Canadian member and all of the changes indicated here apply to you.

Will my NETELLER account be closed?
No. You will still be able to use your NETELLER account to securely send funds to friends and family with our peer-to-peer service, transfer funds to non-gambling sites and withdraw funds from your NETELLER account at an ATM using the NETELLER Card.

Is my money safe in my NETELLER account?
Yes. NETELLER keeps all members? funds by holding the value in segregated trust accounts. As the largest independent online money transfer business in the world, we maintain our head office in Europe and are a publicly quoted company on the London Stock Exchange. NETELLER (UK) Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Am I required to withdraw my money from NETELLER?
No, there is no requirement for Canadian members to withdraw their funds from their e-wallet accounts.

Can I still use NETELLER services like Peer-to-Peer and the NETELLER Card?
Yes. You will still be able to send and receive money with our secure peer-to-peer network and you will still be able to withdraw your funds at ATMs with the NETELLER Card. The changes in service to our Canadian members only affect the ability to transfer funds with online gambling sites and to use the instaCASH deposit option.

I am a resident of Canada. Can I still become a NETELLER member?
Yes. The current changes to NETELLER?s business in Canada have no effect on the sign up process.

Why can?t I access my instaCASH funds in my NETELLER account?
NETELLER has made a policy and technical change that has disabled instaCASH for Canadian members.

Will I be able to use instaCASH again?
No decisions have been made regarding the future availability of this product.

How can Canadian members find out about changes to their NETELLER services?

All members will continue to have access to this FAQ site for answers to the most commonly asked questions.

Who can I contact for assistance?
If your question has not been answered by this FAQ, or if you require further assistance, please contact NETELLER Customer Service.

Im hearing that people have talked to some books and they have indicated that Neteller customers will be able to withdraw using a different method. I'm contacting Pinnacle as we speak to see if they will allow for a different form of withdrawal at a future date.
I haven't pulled the trigger on withdrawing my money into Neteller but, under further consideration, I don't think it is advisable to get any money into Neteller if not necessary.

1837,

are you withdrawing back into Neteller right away to get your money out? I'm thinking it may be possible, with the book's cooperation, to keep the money in the books and withdrawal it using an alternate method in the future.

I am thinking about it but DAMN i'm PISSED!!!! :nono: I have pendign wagers at WSEX that might be decided well after april 9th so i dont know what i will be able to do with them... About Pinny, i lean to withdraw everything before april 9th (next week maybe?) because this is where i have the most $$ and what if Pinny decide to not let use an alternante system? Prefer to withdraw and funds in another way but damn... this is the end of my gambling life i think... :( ANY Canadian bookies out there??? Believe me, you will make lots of money with me! Mostly in F1 racing and movies props! ;)

I have sent an email to Pinny asking if they will allow alternate withdrawals after April 9th on Neteller funds.

I have spoken to too many Americans this morning who still have EFTs pending!!!!

I see no reason why Pinny wont allow an alternate method given the situation, but I will report back soon.

You can continue to use Pinny! Just fund your account with a different method. This is just neteller folding. There is no Canadian laws on the horizon.

Chasing the Next Dime...
With Harper sucking Bush balls? I doubt there is no upcoming law.... Wouldnt be surprise at all.... :(

I don't think we will have to worry about that 1837. With most of the poker/gambling sites being based in the reserves in La Belle Province, He would be having another Oka on his hands if he did anything. Remember this is a Election year, so doubtful he will do anything.

If he does, then he will have to do something will all the sports lottery as well. The Natives sure will be restless.

Last time I tried Pinny still took Visa/MC fine.

Hope its getting warm for you up there!!

When the Republicans snuck this through down here, I had money in WSEX via Neteller. I was able to withdraw using FedEx instead. You should be fine on alternate withdraw methods.

Just spoke to a Rep from Pinnacle who assured me that any money deposited via neteller can be withdrawn by any of the other methods after April 9, 2007.

Looks like the damage is minimal, but a huge inconvenience nonetheless. I would suggest people just arrange alternate withdrawals wherever possible. No sense giving Neteller any of your money at this point an running the risk of waiting on it for ages.
