Rockets played like crap down the stretch. Had the score 77-76 with under 5 minutes before falling apart.

Warriors ML (+130) for 3.5*... I want to root for the Warriors so playing them small. Hopefully Baron Davis has another monster game.

Got the win with Golden State... f*cking hate the Rockets right now. What a bunch of worthless turds other than McGrady and Ming (they both looked horrible in the 4th quarter as well).

Tonight:
Raptors +8 for 5* - Toronto has f*cked me 2 consecutive games in this series. Aren't they due?:142smilie :mj07:
I know Ford is injured, but I like the Raptors to keep this game competitive after getting blown out in their other trips to New Jersey. Ford hasn't exactly been dominating this series so his absence might not hurt as much as many cappers believe.

21-15-3... hardly a record to get excited about, but +33.85* for the playoffs... not too bad when I've been cold lately. Ready to get hot for the next round of the playoffs and for game #7 Utah/Houston... I think Rockets are in trouble.

Leaning Pistons -4.5 in game #1 for 5*... Detroit will make a statement right away in this series IMO. Who really knows what will happen, but Pistons are the team to beat in the East and Bulls are playing the happy to be playing... Chicago is solid, but this series is a bad matchup.

Bulls didn't play well on the road all season and I don't see them taking this game. Pistons were horrible ATS @ home, but this game counts for the money and I expect a monster effort from Detroit. Pistons are hard to beat period...especially when they bring it... Chitown won't be ready IMO.

Pistons 97 Bulls 86

Leaning Jazz +6 (buy if necessary) for 5*... haven't played yet...Okur, Boozer, Kirilinko Gricek, are a brutal matchup for Houston..... I expect Jazz to cover game #7. Game should come to the wire, but tough to not like Jazz +6 or more IMO.
Jazz are playing well and Rockets are lucky they haven't lost this series at this point.

Jazz are the whitest team since Celtics with McHale, Bird, and Ainge. Kirlenko, Okur, Harpring
are a solid white trio as well. Go Jazz!

Rockets 93 Jazz 91

Still debating both games... Bulls have enjoyed Pistons number recently... Wallace will be a major nemisis in this series. I think this line will continue to drop if you like the Pistons... Bulls are becoming America's team, but I'll be shocked if they take this series past 6 games.

Bulls +5 for 5*... After typing how much I like the Pistons above, going to back Chicago. Detroit has been horrid ATS @ home all season and they didn't cover against Orlando.

Utah +6 (-120) for 5*... This game should be very tight so gladly grab the points.

22-16-3 +34.35*

Nets +6 for 5*... say what you want about the Cavs being a big play, this is a tough matchup for Cleveland IMO. Jefferson should guard James and somewhat control him (hopefully Jefferson, but I'll take Carter on James as well). Cavs have a rebounding edge, but Carter should go off in this series. Kidd is also playing stellar ball right now and tough to not like the Nets getting a decent amount of points.

Should have never changed to Bulls tonight. They're going to get worked in this series 4-1 or
4-2. Bulls just don't matchup with Detroit... period!

Spurs +5 for 6.5*... Going a little bigger on this game. San Antonio has enjoyed past success in Phoenix and Parker averaged 28 PPG vs. the Suns this season. Duncan should be unstoppable and Finley is stroking the outside shot. I know Phoenix has a ton of talent, but they don't play defense like the Spurs and this will hurt them during this series. I know the Suns can be awesome at times, but Spurs know the winner of this series will be the front runner for the Title and I think Spurs make a statement in game #1.

What a day. Congrats. I have to tell you that I have been shadowing you during the playoffs as NBA is something I have no feel for. Yesterday I had to go out early for the evening and put everything in during the mid-afternoon. Went with your early leans. I don't have to tell you how special my weekend has been. Much thanks for your posts.

Toma, glad to be helping you. Dumb manuever on my part switching to the Bulls yesterday. Billups looked awesome and Gordon looked lost. I would have gone 5-0 from Friday to Sunday if I wouldn't have switched sides:com:

24-16-3 +45.85* after today... back to 60% for the playoffs. Hopefully I can keep my percentage above 60% the rest of the way.

Monday:

Bulls +6 (-120) for 4*... Small play as I was very tempted to back the Pistons. However, Detroit beat Chicago so bad in game #1 that a letdown is possible. The Bulls scored 28 points in the 2nd half on Saturday:142smilie :mj07:

It was a joke, but I expect an inspired effort from Chicago and this game to be very close. Gordon couldn't play any worse and Chicago needs their role players to stepup.

Still undecided on the late game, but leaning towards the Warriors if line keeps rising. I think Utah will be a little emotionally drained from their game #7 win. However, I don't like the way Golden State matches up with the Jazz so I haven't made a play yet.

Geez, Bulls are getting beat up again. After I posted how Detroit would beat the crap out of the Bulls... I take the Bulls both games:mad: :cursin: :cuss:

Warriors +4.5 for 4*... Not really confident in this play as I'm afraid Golden State will get abused on the blocks. However, I think Utah will be a little drained after winning game #7 and might not be 100% ready for this game. I'm hoping Golden State can continue playing with a lot of emotion.

25-17-3 +45.05*

Nets +5 (-120) for 4*... Not wild about this play, but New Jersey only lost by 4 points and played horrible on Sunday. If Carter and Kidd can play more like their 1st round performances, I think NJ wins tonight. Still like grabbing points in a game that should be close.

Spurs +5 for 4.5*... Okay, so the Suns need to win... does that mean they're going to win? San Antonio played great ball on the road all season and they seem to be clicking on all cylinders right now. Duncan will continue dominating and Nash can't guard Parker. Not a real good matchup for the Suns so backing the Spurs.

Horrible Tuesday Night. I guess I was bound to get killed sooner or later. I hate when I finish without a win for a night. Nets really crapped the bed late and Spurs didn't even showup offensively over the final 3 quarters scoring just 56 points against Phoenix:scared

Utah -3 (-120) for 5* - Jazz dominated the boards in game #1 and I don't see this changing in game #2. Warriors have enjoyed a great run, but I think they will go cold from the perimeter tonight and this will cost them. Golden State also seemed to run out of gas in game #1. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Warriors run out of gas again as they're playing in altitude.

Jazz 106 Warriors 98

Detroit +3 (-120) for 5*... Better grab this number while it's available. Pistons are superior at every position on the court and they're completely manhandling the Bulls. An underdog is far overdue to cover as well. I considered ML, but would rather grab the points in case this game is close.

27-19-3 +45.3*... about time for some dogs to start barking. I didn't think the Pistons had a prayer at halftime, but the Bulls really sucked in the 2nd half (just as bad in game #1) and blew this game and the series. Pistons might lose game #4, but this series will be done in 5 games. Pistons are on a mission and wouldn't surprise me to see them win the title. I don't think Cleveland will hang with them, would predict Pistons 4-1 over Cleveland right now, but Lebron could make a statement and make it a tougher series.
Spurs or Suns could beat the Pistons in a series, but I don't like their chances if Detroit keeps playing tough, clutch, defensive basketball. One of my coworkers predicted Golden State to upset Dallas before the playoffs began and he predicted Pistons win it all before the playoffs.. tough to argue right this second. I thought he was crazy at the time, but he's looking sharp right now. He's a very knowledgeable NBA fan. Pistons have so many key veterans and they're long and deep.

Looking at Utah +7 tomorrow, but haven't pulled the trigger. I know Golden State needs the win, but their loss last night should have a lingering effect.

Utah +7 (-120) for 5*... Just a normal size play. I could see Golden State winning by double digits, but I think it's unlikely. Golden State shot very well from the perimeter and lost both games in Utah. I think Utah has a far better shot at covering this number than Golden State. I know Utah didn't play particularly well on the road this season, but they did win game #7 @ Houston.

Well I won't be calling my self Nostradamus anytime soon... horrible call on the Jazz tonight. Apologies to anyone that followed my ignorance.

Liking the doggies tomorrow. Cleveland hasn't lost in the playoffs and NJ looks beaten. Suns vs. Spurs should be a close game IMO. SA hasn't exactly been unbeatable at home and Suns do play great ball on the road. Well see what happens, but the doggies are overdue for a solid run ATS.
