OK

Listen guy, only a small handfull of congress got ALL of the info from the CIA. We went through this a couple years ago..

the democrats on the armed services /intelligence committees didn`t know what the administration knew?.....:SIB

just who do you think gathers our intel at the c.i.a.,brainiac?...

many are hardcore democrats like valerie plame...(that`s what bush got for not cleaning the place out when he took office)...

how the hell do you think that all our intelligence secrets find their way into the nyt`s?....

Valerie Plame?

Are we back on her now? Talk to spongy or stw about that shit.

As I said when it was going on, it was the most ridiculous witch-hunt since the blow-job chronicles.

If you get around to it some day, try to address my post.

(Hint)- it had nothing to do with Valerie Plame.

Feel sorry for you, Kosar. How many times have gone round and round with deaf targets only to have your patriotism (lol) questioned? This thread reaffirms my current policy of not making political posts until after football season.

bobby...even if i bought the kremlin`s line...as you seem to have....at what point do they decide they`ve made their point?...they`ve gone way past w.ossetia and are basically "targeting" civilian areas and taking over cities........

as you know,i hate to cut and paste...but please read this....

http://shootingmessengers.blogspot.com/2008/08/ralph-peters-explaions-russian.html

you leftists only are anti-war when it comes to the u.s. defending itself and its interests around the world.....when other leftists/socialists/communists engage in war, you turn a willing blind eye and make excuses...

this article was written saturday and i don`t think even colonel peters had any idea just how overwhelming the force that the russians had at the ready really was....

where peters was incorrect was not relaizing that georgia has NO chance facing this amount of brute force...

it`s ridiculous...

now i`m waiting for the "iraq" card to be drawn...well,exactly how many u.n. resolutions did the russians propose before invading georgia?...

did the russians even address the u.n.?...of course not...that`s not the russian bear`s style..they only use the u.n. to confound democracies...

i talked to a friend thats very savvy about geopolitical issues and i mentioned that the left was extremely quiet about this war....

he said,"they won`t be silent for long...bet your ass they`ll be supporting russia"....

he` was right as rain...

wake the f-ck up...

It's nice to see that you've turned into an expert on a country that you first heard about 5 days ago. (Where exactly is West Ossentia, anyway?)

If you may, show me where I'm supporting Russia in my post - I just think that it's insane to think that we have enough oil here to provide any significant benefit, but now you want us to drill to supply Europe with their oil needs, too. Then you go into a post on what you think I believe as if you've already figured out every argument.

I'm not an expert on this, but I've spent time in Tbilisi, spent time with Georgians and have seen US troops on the streets. I used to own shares in an oil company there whose biggest risks was the events of the past 5 days, so I'm a bit up on what's happened over the past 4 years.

In that time, Georgia has captured Russian troops (who later were returned), have had a Military official publicly state that Russia wouldn't have the guts to come down to the Caucasus' to wage war due to all of the problems they have in Chechnya and have forcefully stifled demonstrations in the streets. The President was elected with 96% votes for(Saddam-like numbers). They've openly been trained by US forces and have attempted to join NATO, whose sole goal was to combat the Soviet Union. They became a democracy separated from Russia, but won't let Abkhazia nor South Ossentia have their own democracy or choose their own leadership. They also went into S. Ossentia with force to stop an uprising. And in all this time, with all the Russian warnings, Moscow has stood by and have nothing overt. They bring troops into stop the Georgian forces and they're greeted with news proclamations that Georgia has shot down 4 Russian planes. Soo . . . . they take out Georgia's radar and then their airport.

That said. . . Georgia is the side of democracy (kind of) and the side that is our ally. The Russian response has been over the top. They don't need words from Europe showing their support - they need air coverage and they need a show of defense by whatever international force will step up. We're just a bit strapped right now - which is one of the moonbats concerns from Day one.

What/Where is Ossentai was asked. It's a small part of Georgia. That happens most that live there want to stay with mother Russia. So when 3 days befor Russia roled in Georgia sent some troops in to make them understand they were not going any place. Three days later with just the excuse Russia was waiting for they came to save the day. And now are teaching a bigger lesson. Not just to Georgia but to US and Europe. Remember when we had our little civil war. We didn't listen to the UN did we. I guess there was no one there yet. So instead we went about killing over 600000 of our own. We were just as nuts. So was any lesson learned. Looks like world hasn't changed much.
And everyone does not jump anymore when we tell them. OR ELSE.

I was hoping to see a reply from Weasel on this one.

Hold on a sec...did I see the words "This administration" and "Intelligence" used in trying to defend something a few posts back?

Hmm, I was going to get involved in this fray, but if we're gonna use misnomers like those, I think I'll sit this one out.
