77-70 -4.55U ytd
4-6 -1.85U last wk

Played:

Bama +10 x2

Bama hasn't played a top 15 team :scared , and I feel strongly that Florida is the top team nationally when healthy, but I see Saban's troops covering with D and ground attack. Bama is the most physical team Florida will face this season..........27-23 Florida

Alabama +10 for my max bet, no doubt, may wait for a few days to see if it goes up because of the public, I think Alabama wins straight up, defense wins championships

My confidence level in my college football capping is at a several year low, or I would have played this for x4. GL:weed:

Oops, I mistakenly counted LSU (#4 at the time) as a top 15 team:mj07:

Saban won a BCS title 5 years ago with a team very similar to this one, and I wouldn't be shocked to see it happen again. I'll be rooting for Bama the rest of the way.

Hedgehog, I don't mean to be a contrarian, but you may well be the "public" on this play. I've looked on 3 different forums and all is see is Alabama + the points. Also Alabama allows 11 points a game Florida 12, so your defense wins championships motto goes to the team that allows 1 less point a game?

This line is light by 4 points at least in my opinion, it should be -14. If it goes up it's not because of the public, everyone will see #1 Alabama getting 10 points and think they have a shot. I don't believe they do.

you may be right, I will not bet on Florida, though, If I do bet on the game I will be taking the points, Alabama will dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides and get Coffee going running the ball, they will control the clock and I see them winning the game. Ole Miss beat Florida by running the ball, Alabama does that better than any team in I have seen this year, by controlling the line of scrimmage. I also bet Tebow will be confused by Saban's defensive schemes and blitzes

Normally I would be all over DD but frankly i cant do it because I give Bama no chance to win this game. Bama, especially considering who they have played, has tremendously underwhelmed me when I have watched them. A team that barely beats Kentucky or needs OT for LSU is suspect. Sure they shut down Auburn. Of course Auburn scored what, 3 points on Miss State.

I am tempted to take Mizzou and the points based on situational stuff.

bama will need to rush for 150 + and get a few to's to win this. sorry, i love bama this year. they are as solid as any team on the fundamentals, but the tide has no room for error against fla. they cannot match up w/ all of fla's speed. i think bama must control the clock w/ running and no to's to stay within this number. both of these teams are good on D. the edge on off and special tems goes to fla.

there is no possible reason to bet on mizzou. hell they just lost to ku. they got blown out out by tex. mizz will get crushed by oky again. maybe a late backdoor cover here, but any late scores will be done by oky running it up. did i just see oky st at home give oky all they could handle and still lose in the end by 20 ? mizz has no D, nor will chase daniel run for 100yds like zac robinson did. ou def line will dominate mizz, much like tex did. mho

Yet the line is only 15.

UConn -2.5
Hawaii +7.5

Haven't looked into either, but both seem like the correct side.

gl, i'm not betting either way at this point, but i believe bama is over valued here. they barely beat ole miss, kentucky was in it until the end , and they had to go to ot to beat lsu. Fla had one poor game and have blown every team out ever since....

on a side note, the game against ole miss was as conservative as they come. 2 of the stud freshman didn't even see the field - ask lsu and geo about those 2 guys......

as far as fla not playing "D" that is crap. they allow less than 13 per game, 1 more than ALA..... unreal.

i hope it is a good game this weekend, and i really like the way ALA plays - i believe that they are a year away from the NC.

on a side note, texas is more balanced -they really look to balance the play calling imo. the tex D is better, but OU does score a bunch.

arky, rice, fla atl, all held to 10 pts ea - not impressive. holding ku to 7 was impressive.

OU's d is not anywhere near as impressive stats wise, they give up a lot of points, but scored over 50 8 different times.

none of it really makes a diff - tex was hosed because of a bs system, but had they come to play a little sooner in lubbock they would not have been in the position to get screwed..

and its a shame because colt mccoy plays as hard as any player i have seen this year.
