I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like the Supreme Court is about to over turn a 100+ year law prohibiting unlimited corporate campaign contributions. It will also make a mockery of the McCain-Feingold law.

It will put corporation rights above citizen rights. Another WTF moment, guess our judges of the highest level can be paid off.

The Day Will Come

The Day Will Come

Yes the day will come that you'll ask yourself the question, how do I hijack a plane and fly it into the Supreme Court Building ,don't get confused and hit the U.S. Capital across the street, but either building will be alright with me , with fingers crossed, praying that these sorry SOB'S are at work ! BOMBS AWAY !! :142smilie

I assume your speaking of recent ruling over allowing movie about Hilliary made by a corp to be allowed to be viewed finally?

Out of curiousity what were your thoughts on Hollywood -(Micheal Moore-- Stone-Spike Lee ) etc
just this week-

Oliver Stone says Chavez film may struggle to get U.S. play...

DTB

It is the Clinton movie suit. It has no ruling yet, being heard by SCOTUS now.

I'm on the same side as you with the movies you mentioned, distorted to say the very least. I thought you and I would be on the same side here also.

I know there are many ways around campaign contributions, but I see no need for the court to wipe out this law and several others about campaign reform. I was always a big believer in what McCain was doing, more needs to be done IMHO.

I agree KC--I just think playing field should be equal for both sides.

This past election would be an example--both intially promised to go by same rules--but we know what happened --not everyones word means much to them.

I agree with you there also DTB.

I feel campaign reform would give us all better representatives on the hill and better presidents. They say, as you get older, pessimism becomes more prevalent. I try to stay optimistic, but it is hard.
