imagine your wife going through an intersection with a green light. then imagine some guy running a red while talking on the phone and killing your wife. how would that feel?

you are one dumb fuck

As long as he was able to continue to try to gain acceptance at MadJacks , he would be OK

There are a couple guys here and in the capping forums that seem to make MadJacks more of a priority than their families.

Just Pathetic :(

in my case it was raining, i just picked up my vehicle from the shop after I got rear ended a few weeks back and I did not want to risk some dumbass hitting me again from behind while stopping at a wet intersection. It was definitely yellow, then red really quick. That is the bullshit part of the red light cameras, quick yellow then red. Its all designed to get your money. No telling how much these assholes make a year ripping off the public. I would never run through a red light after it turned red. I was in the middle of the intersection turning when it turned red.

Chad, thank GOD we dont have state income tax in Texas. I do pay my fair share in property taxes, about 7K per year to be exact.

So you run a red light? Are you serious?

Didn't someone give you some advice about reading your posts before actually hitting the submit button? Why even start this thread? You broke the law and are trying to act like a victim. Then you go on to blame the government because you broke a law as simple and uncontroversial as running a red light. A fucking red light.

Honestly I have to give Hedgy credit. I am really surprised he didn't claim it was a Black Democrat up on a pole with a camera (sent by Obama) to take away his hard earned money to re-distribute it those lazy unemployed negros.

Seriously, Hedge. Do you realize all of your posts skirt the real issue of what happened? I hate to tell you, but driving a nice car doesn't give you the right to take other peope's lives in your own hands.

It just feeds into my opinion of you. What do you think the story was for those people at the rainy intersection when you blew through there that day? Don't you think they probably have some issues, too?

Unreal. But expected.

Yes. You do break the law when running a red light. When placing a bet. When speeding. News flash: That's YOU breaking the law. Not big brother. Own it. you preach responsibility for others, and expect them to do the right thing. But that's different for you, right? You drive the big SUV, because you can. I have no doubt that makes you feel like you are more invincible than others in that intersection.

I can't tell you how many times I've been stuck in traffic here in Minnesota when a big SUV rolled over in bad weather, because their owner thought they were invincible. More of the same, here.

my only problem is two weeks after the fact I get a ticket in the mail. whats next, my phone is tapped, my internet has a filter, someone plants a camera on my house to check out what I am doing? The cameras are setup for one reason, make money off the unwitting public, breaking the law or not. If a cop catches me fine, I will not complain. Its the big brother part that is bullshit, thats what I dont like.

Can't say that I never ran a red light.. When I did it was red for a long time with no traffic around. Chadman-- It is totally amazing how many people in Minnesota especially by the Twin Cities think that they can drive as fast as they want on icy and snowy conditions.. Not too long ago I was heading on North 35 approaching Hinkley when an SUV flew by me in the left lane.. About 10 minutes later the SUV was upside down.. Ambulance and State PAtrol were on the scene but Jeez.. Now as for the ticket Hedge... It's your fault.. I don't like the camera law but it is what it is.

I got one in LA last year - rolling through a red light without coming to a complete stop while turning right. Fine: $500. F them! Has zero to do with public saftey and everything to do with f'ing over the public. Also, not so suprisingly, they tend not to be in areas of the city with alot of undocumented workers. They want to make sure they squeeze people who have $ and have their car registered correctly, etc.

Why don't you just blame me for this kind of like when you got the ticket for parking on the street during the day in LA because you were home entertaining me instead of at work.

As for Houston camera lights, they went up once that damn train went in because people kept driving into an oncoming train. I don't know a single person who uses the train, but I know plenty of people who have gotten red light tickets from it.

My guess is this is where Hedge got his ticket.

The cameras are setup for one reason, make money off the unwitting public,

Please don't confuse unwitting with people who have an IQ < 70.

What's the difference between a camera catching you and a cop catching you? Just because the po-po is getting clever about how they catch people doesn't make it wrong, IMO. Let's be honest, most of the people that bitch about these cameras are just pissed because it makes it harder to get away with breaking the law.

All of the analogies you came up with (phone tapping/Internet filter, etc.) involves some kind of surveillance on your private property. A red light camera that monitors peoples driving on city streets seems to be a completely different animal to me.

I have been going through the intersection for 6 months now, its on the way to get my son at daycare. I went through the intersection today, the sign is very small letting you know its camera enforced. I never even noticed it until today its photo enforced :142smilie and thats because I was looking for the f-ing sign.

I wish they would arrest the panhandler that sits at the light and asks for money. The police have done nothing about his sorry ass.

City of Austin Ignores Ruling Against Red Light Camera Companies

You Tube
December 20, 2008
This reads like a lawless blend of police state and big brother measures, and under the guise of ?public safety,? mixes predatory revenue grabbing with undue data collection, all at the expense of the people.
A Dallas lawyer has sued Redflex, a photo-enforcement company that has been used nationwide to monitor traffic. He says that the private company doesn?t have the private investigation licensing it needs to legally collect data on the population for the purpose of law enforcement. However, that hasn?t stopped cities like Austin from using the systems anyway.
