put a deposit down on a condo in March, Paid the rest 2 weeks ago as it looked like the oil might stay away.

Now its headed right for the beach, the day before we get there. Going to go anyway, I've paid $1300 for condo for the week. Maybe I'll get sick from the fumes and sue BP. JK

Pretty pissed about it, owner will reund me if they can rerent the unit. I'm sure they would be able to rerent it :mj07:

Here's my oil view condo I have for the week

P-cola Beach is one of the more beautiful beaches in Florida. Hope it stays that way and the oil stays away. My old girlfriend lived there during the summer's back in the 80's. Wore her and the beach out hopping back and forth between Tally and P-cola.

This whole BP thing is nauseating.

sent a email to the Clark Howard show regarding my issues, they want me to call in tomorrow. So I can call in and they tell me I'm f@cked

I'll be back in Atlanta June 26th. Maybe we can hit up a happy hour pre 4th of July.

I DVR Clark Howard. He's one of the good guys! :0074

We just got back from Navarre beach, between orange beach and Destin. Is a shame it may be our families last vacation there? My Kids all live away and this has been an annual vacation for the past 7 yrs. The home and condo owners can not afford the insurance down there as it is and now this..............
What a Sad story of Greed .....:violin:

well the condo owner said we could reschedule, or cancel and she will file a claim with BP.

So it looks like we are not going. Might try my luck in Destin last minute

If you were going to spend time on the beach, it's loaded with golf ball size balls of oil or whatever it is. A total effin mess.

condo owner told me i could cancel, and they would refund my money as soon as BP paid them after they filed a claim. She said it has been about 3 to 5 days for them to pay.

So we got lucky and booked a place in myrtle beach SC. It was actually about $400 cheaper for the trip

looks nice and just opened in May. This is where we are staying

Going to panama city beach sat. for a week of fishing, fully expect federal waters to be shut down by then but from the looks of it state waters wont be. I make these trips for next to nothing since I know the right people so I am obviously less effected than a lot of families that have had expensive vacations planned.

got back Tuesday from Destin and water was crystal clear. Not a lot of people for Memorial Day weekend which was surprising.

My wife and kids are in Navarre now, and no effects of the spill are evident. They'll be there for a week, so I'll report here if there are any changes....
