SO what Chicago got lucky and beat a very crappy week 2 Dallas team. Isnt GB supposed to be a superbowl contender. We have bumbling moron #1 in Martz and bumbling crybaby #2 in Cutler. This line stinks. Just as the Dolphins at home -1 did.

Madden 11 SIM of MNF

Madden 11 SIM of MNF

The Bears get set to host the Green Bay Packers to wrap up Week 3 in a matchup for early control of the NFC North. Both teams come into Monday?s action at 2-0, but only one was really expected to come in with an unblemished record. After a shaky start in their win over the Lions, Bears-mania is sweeping Chicago thanks to an unexpected win against the Cowboys in Dallas. Mike Martz is a genius, Jay Cutler can walk on water and even Lovie Smith ain?t all that bad. Winning cures all. On with our simulation:
Jay Cutler picks up right where he left off, hooking up with Earl Bennett for a short TD pass. Heck, they even have the Bears in the throwback uniforms they?ll wear. Those guys are good.

Mason Crosby answers with a field goal to get the Packers on the board, but the Bears end the first quarter staked to a 7-3 lead.
More highlights, scoring summary and stats after the jump.
The Bears offense seems to get a good handle of the Packers D as Cutler carves them up for a 60 TD pass to Devin Aromashodu.

The Bears defense keeps the Packers in check as the Bears head to the half up 14-3.
To open up the third quarter, the Bears stretch the field again, this time a 76-yard Cutler to Johnny Knox TD bomb.

The Bears add a pair of Robbie Gould field goals before the offense strikes again, with Desmond Clark the next to get into the end zone on a 6-yard Cutler TD.

The route is on as the Bears head to the 4th quarter up 34-7. A Robbie Gould FG to start the 4th and a pair of garbage time Packer TD?s, long Greg Jennings TD

followed by a John Kuhn 1-yard TD plunge

wrap up the scoring, but not before the Bears wrap up a 34-17 win for early control of the NFC North and sending the cheeseheads home with their tails between their legs.

Bears 37 Packers 17

The Bears and Packers have the longest running rivalry in the NFL with the Bears leading the all-time series 91-82-6. Even though the Bears won their last meeting against the Packers on Monday Night Football in the coldest game ever in Soldier Field back in December of 2008, recent history is against them in this classic matchup. Here?s how the Bears and Packers stack up when matched up on Monday Night Football:
Date Visitors Home Venue
10-21-1974 Packers 9 Bears 10 Soldier Field
10-21-1985 Packers 7 Bears 23 Soldier Field
9-22-1986 Bears 25 Packers 12 Lambeau Field
10-31-1994 Packers 33 Bears 6 Soldier Field
9-11-1995 Packers 27 Bears 24 Soldier Field
9-1-1997 Bears 24 Packers 38 Lambeau Field
10-7-2002 Packers 34 Bears 21 Memorial Stadium (Champaign, Illnois)
9-29-2003 Packers 38 Bears 23 Soldier Field
12-22-2008 Packers 17 Bears 20 Soldier Field
Before their December 2008 victory, the Bears were riding a 5 game losing streak dating back to 1986. A win on Monday night will pull the all-time MNF matchup even at 5 wins apiece. More importantly, winner gets early control of the NFC North.

I fully expect the Packers to tear the Bears a new asshole tomorrow night. Hopefully it will not be pretty and Rodgers and co. air it for a full scale hammering. This one will not be close

Where it is real F ing COLD
All 3 books that I use have the Pack at - 3 and I don't see how the spot should be any different? Chicago just beat the hell out of Dallas on the road and come for this tilt... Green Bay is the winner in my mind.. They are better than Chicago at every postion other than RB..

I honestly can not see how a team that rightfully should have lost to the lions beats the packers. the bears defense is ok, but not good enough to stop all the packers weapons. Jay Cutler is not as good as his numbers say, and the packers Defense is due for a big game, which they haven't had yet after being ranked in the preseason as a top 5 defense. But this line is scary. i said the same about the KC, Mia, Wash lines. They were all sucker lines, and it seems like this one is too, but i can't understand how yet

If the Packer defense is "due" for anything, it's to get their ass kicked. The "D" aint as good as advertised. Plus, the running game is non-existant. If the Bears can do anything against the pass, they have a shot.

Plus, you just don't ever discount this series.

This seems like a good game for watching, to me.
