Just came back from seeing this movie & both my wife & I really enjoyed it....It's a true story of boxer Micky Ward who over came his family to win the wealterweight title....Imo, Christian Bale, who plays Micky's brother stole the movie....

Go see this very gritty movie....

what kind of bizarro world do we live in?(christian bale playing second banana to marky mark?)........

micky ward is a fave of out boy shamrock...that whole new england thing going on...:0008

Wahlbergh played his character perfect as did Bale. Bale wasn't second banana.

See the movie... Dickie was the extrovert. Mickey more subdued and introvert.

Great cast.

the guy can`t act(imo).....

to watch this "rapper"(hell,that wasn`t even decent rap...it was more like whitebread calypso with less redeeming qualities)portray such a tough,brave,gutty fighter just wouldn`t wash with me........


trust me...i don`t need to see marky mark portray ward...i knew about ward when marky mark doing his vanilla ice impression.....

that`s fine...glad you guys liked it....

and i hope ward makes some jack off of it...he deserves it...i know he has some some residual damage from what was a stellar boxing career..gatti/ward fought TWO fights of the year....they basically ended one another`s careers(or shortened them)...

he was too damned tough for his own good...

not looking for an argument...but i`m not a fan of marky....

sorry if that grates...

still,after watching marky in the italian job,planet of the apes and shooter,i`ve had more than enough...still to this day haven`t watched the departed because of m.m....

i have a drawer full of surplus, skid-marked boxer shorts that have more prestigious acting chops than marky...


in my opinion...:0008 :grins:
