Connecticut +6.5 2nd H

Under 73.5 Connecticut-Houston 2nd H

The over for the game looks like it is in good shape with 96 pts already at HT. Both teams are shooting very well with Connecticut shooting 50% & Houston shooting 47.1 %. The 2nd H total would put the game total at 170 which is 33 points more then the original total. I have to go with the under here as there is value here & a nice cushion for a middle. Even if both teams stay hot the scoring should slow down, we saw the same thing happen in the LA-Minnesota game the other night as the 2nd H scoring was way down & oddly enough I believe they threw up 96 at the half as well.

Yes, I do follow the WNBA. I actually have been looking forward to the season as I enjoy it as a fan & as a gambler. I'm not the only one who posts the WNBA.

We have Ricall who posts picks for it as well as you can see she has some picks for tonight going & Superbook posts WNBA games as well but I haven't seen him around.

Phoenix +12

Over 133 Phoenix-Sacramento -106

Phoenix +690

Phoenix +6 1st H

Over 62 Phoenix-Sacramento 1st H

Los Angeles -4 -102

Los Angeles -2 1st H

Over 142.5 Los Angeles-Seattle -109

Over 70 Los Angeles-Seattle 1st H

With a spread like this, the worst I can see is a split of the side & total for the game. If the Mercury do get blown out, the odds are in your favor it would go over & if they keep it close it can go either way but I personally have this game in the 138-142 pt range.

Phoenix +3.5 2nd H

Over 69 Phoenix-Sacramento 2nd H

Phoenix shooting a pathetic 25.9 % while Sacramento is shooting 50%. I can't see this getting any worse then it already is & +19.5 for the game is too tempting to pass up for me.

Los Angeles -4.5 2nd H

I think LA wins & covers this game eventhough Seattle did play a good first half. The Storm shot 39.4% from the field which includes shooting 36.4% from beyond the arc.

I think Michael Cooper will stress to his team to take advantage of the inside game where they have dominated the Storm winning that battle 16-8.

The Storm's scoring is being dominated by Sue Bird as she has 14 of their 39 pts. I think if they control her they take this game over.

The over is a very sharp # as it lays the game total right around the original line so I'm passing eventhough I think this game does go over.

Wow....you're serious about this!!!! 14-11-1 is what I get and if you'd left that Pho/Sac game alone you'd have gone 14-4 and be a millionaire.GL the rest of the way. Ri

Yes, I am serious about this :) Boy was I off about this Mercury game. I was dissapointed to see they just fell short of the backdoor for the game & 2nd H.

Some notes to take stock in:

Seattle might be a good go against in their next game as they clearly layed it all out on the table for their game against Los Angeles.

Sue Bird injured herself last night during the game. She clearly couldn't do much in the last 1:30-2:00 during regulation & sat out almost all of OT. She clearly treated this game as if it was a playoff game as you could see the emotion on her face & the sadness that she couldn't give it a go in OT.

The announcers said it looked like tendonitis & I have to agree with them based on how she was dragging her foot. This was a major blow for the Storm as she carried the team for the most part since Lauren Jackson had a bad game shooting 3-15. She was their 2nd highest scorer behind Bird (who had 22) but 8 of those points were from the free throw line as she shot 8-8 from there.

The Storm's next game is at home against Sacramento on the 3rd. They are 0-3 & in last place in the conference & if Bird is out for any time or not a 100% then they will be in deeper trouble then they already are.

The games between the Sparks & Storm are tough battles as this clearly is a rivalry between two teams that don't like each other. I applaud the refs for swallowing their whistles for stretches & letting the girls go at it. The Storm caught the Sparks at the right time as the Sparks were clearly tired & just seem motivated to get the hell out of town & go home. When it became physical is when they started to wake up & muster the energy to comeback. I'm sure they are very greatful to Nikki Teasley as her 3 pt shooting (5-8) & Bird getting hurt is what helped them sneak out of town with a victory.

Ahh I see where the confusion is. I forgot to list the LA 2nd H pick on all the forums. No wonder your results threw me off. Thanks for the heads up Ricall

Quick Recap:

14-11 54% +524 (Based on a $100 per wager for record purposes only)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season:

38-29 57% +957 (Based on a $100 per wager for record purposes only)

**I made corrections to the record as the LA 2nd H play was not counted as I missed posting it on another forum so the #'s didn't match up. There was a push on LA-Sea 1st H over.

Hey, thanks a lot for the tip on Sea. I'll definately keep an eye on them with those thoughts in mind. None of the games were on TV here (Dallas) last night so I wouldn't have known that. I was, however, going to ask you if you thought the Sparks were missing some oomph this season....only beating Sea by three, Minn by 3, Cle by 8. I know they played BTB but their win spread seems low to me. I do get watch a game today....at the same time the Arena quarter-finals are on. Two games in one whole week that I like and they squish 'em together. Oh well.

I assume you don't have DTV? The only game that was on the dish was the LA-Sea game which was a good one. I felt it had a playoff atmosphere.

The other games I attempted to listen too on the WNBA website but the links weren't working so I never could.

Well LA always had the tendency to take teams for granted & either go out & blow them away for most of the game then let a team back in or let a team stay around the whole time.

They must be a tired team as going back to preseason, they have only played one game at home & that was their first preseason game against San Antonio which was on May 10th. They have played 5 games in a row on the road with one coming in preseason against San Antonio.

Within their first four regular season road games in a row, they had the back to back on the 27th & 28th & played these 4 games within 6 days as their first regular season game was on the 24th.

The traveling must have gotten to them as they have gone from Connecticut to Cleveland to Minnesota & finally to Seattle. I believe they didn't get into Minnesota until after 3 AM & that was tough coming off of playing the night before in a tough game they had to come back in.

The Cleveland game was a mirage in my opinion as Cleveland took advantage of the Sparks foul trouble especially with Lisa Leslie as she sat for stretches of the game.

I think the Sparks will love the game time off they will have as their next game isn't until the 5th where they begin a home & home with Sacramento. The game on the 5th is their home opener as well which should get them even more pumped up.

I haven't done Arena football this year. How are you doing in it?

This is my first year in Arena and I have been up one w/e and down the next. This is my w/e to be up and I Damn well better do it. There are two playoff games today and two tomorrow and one is on TV each day on NBC (?) There's a poster at the other place named Stardust Guy I am Not who has been hot all season if you want to tail. Could you hurry up and post...it's on in 45 minutes and I am going very large on the NY/Cle Over and leaning toward NY but this scares me:
"Betty Lennox, acquired through the dispersal draft, made her debut and scored 23 points. Penny Taylor netted 17 points to lead the starters for Cleveland.

Rookie LaToya Thomas, the top overall selection in the draft, made 4-of-12 shots for eight points in her debut.

Cleveland won two of three meetings with New York last season and has won five of the last six."
