Gosh this quarterfinals is by far the most difficult to cap......the one thing that I'm sticking with is my thoughts that Brazil advances despite some excellent analysis by Monarch and Anders on England to name but a couple of posters.
Brazil is in my opinion stronger, more fit, more relaxed and can score and more importantly, can play better defense than in years past. This I'm sure will be greatly debated but that's why I said imo. Not to take away anything from England because it is a top-notch football squad. Anyhow I digress.
In a tightly controlled match, I say:
Brazil ML +125
Brazil draw +215
Brazil under 2' -130
Brazil to advance -140 (inc. Golden Goal and PK).
The next matchup is also exceedingly difficult. I initially thought Germany and big (say 3-1) but thought about it....then thought about it some more....and then looked at what the US has done. Despite not always being the better team or playing the best football, the US team has gotten it done when it had to. It has made the most out of its opportunities and I thinking the coaching strategies have been dead on. Lady luck has been on it's side so I'm hoping to get one more ride out of her....besides can you imagine how globally shocking a US win would be? That alone is worth the price of admission. Lastly, playing the under despite an annoying itch to play the over and that goes for the Brazil match as well.....unders are 7-1 in the 16? Someone can verify if I'm wrong. The price on the under makes me follow the under....best case scenario either Brazil or USA wins in regulation 1-0 or both go 1-1 into overtime and win 2-1. Guess we'll see!
