What you do with contests like this is your business, but I'd like to ask the question, you do know these fantasy games are one of the biggest scams the internet has to offer, right?

I'm not talking any conspiracy theory or anything like that, but I did follow this stuff for a while and the amount that the sites cater to the high volume players makes it all but impossible for the average person to cash a ticket, let along win one of these things.

Spend your $20 how you like and good luck with it, I hope one of you pulls off a miracle and wins the thing. Just know that the odds are MUCH further against you than you think. Sites allowing scripts to mass enter lineups, computers generating more lineups than you could possibly key in, players allowed to exceed the maximum entry limit, mass entry players with finely tuned lineup generators with a sick amount of stats built into them, etc...

Throw in the fact that if you do make any money you will wait a month longer to file your taxes since the sites get a federal extension to get you a 1099 form. Yes, a (late) 1099 form, not a W2-G. See these sites have legal battles and won't admit they are a gambling house so you get a 1099-MISC instead of a W2-G. Why is that important? When you want to file your losses to offset your winnings, good luck.

There is much more than meets the eye when it comes to these fantasy sites.

1. The above you posted really does apply to Golf and MMA, those are the only ones I play.

2. Max entry for this contest is capped at 200 (nobody is going to spend more then 4 grand in entries so "IP address spoofing" or "friends playing in your name" won't apply. Yes there are some "Fantasy Golf Pros" that will enter, but not many, the fact is there aren't a ton of "Fantasy Golf Pros" out there that can legally play at DK.

3. No tax for Canadians, so I don't have to worry about any of that shit.:canada1

Is that a typo? I'm assuming you are saying that what I said does NOT apply to golf or MMA. To which I disagree. Assani Fisher has a VLOG about how he had $70K in entries one week in just PGA. It was a topic because one golfer he had in every entry withdrew the first day and his entire investment was flushed before the tournament started.

Now granted, that wasn't in one fantasy contest, but still, how much can you avoid these pros even if that $70K is spread across the board of PGA contests? That would have been a good week to play him since his lineup was trashed due to the WD, but the other weeks his monster lineups are hard to avoid.

Play if you want, but buyer beware.

Yep, typo meant to say NOT

And as stated 90 percent of MMA and Golf contests at DK are capped (usually between 100-200 entries), and the one Jack posted here is capped at 200. Yes there are some "Fantasy Golf Pros" out there, and yes there are some "Fantasy MMA Pros" out there but most can't play at DK. It isn't like NFL/NBA/MLB where you have no chance because clients have 1 million entries and a bankroll of a billion dollars. Does what you say exist in MMA and Golf, yes it does but to a much smaller extent compared to other sports.

This is wrong. On FanDuel, entries are capped at 250 in the big daily GPPs. So it is the exact same parameters.

I was talking about DK not FD.

At DK the "big contests" in MLB/NFL/NBA usually are not capped, in MMA and Golf they are almost always capped.

In other words, quite different in MMA and Golf then all the other sports at DK.

For the record I am in this contest, the million is mine.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

this is still wrong....completely wrong. they are capped at DK as well.

just hover over the "M" under the entries column. Tells you how many max entries you can have.

The 200k guaranteed NBA tourney tomorrow is a 200 max entry tourney.

Hell, the one tournament even says it in the title. [3 entry max]

in fact, every single "guaranteed" contest has a max entry limit.

Ok looks like DK has changed recently, so guess I am wrong. It is still stupid to allow that many entries and you are still up against people with huge bankrolls and various computer programs but nice to see they limit the big contests to around 200 entries now. Still 200 entries in a 50 dollar contest takes a big bankroll so it doesn't make much difference, but at least players can't buy 1 million dollars in entries, unless of course they use spoofing programs, etc, etc.

Doesn't matter to me I don't play anything but MMA and Golf so I don't have to worry about that shit (obvious exception this contest with 200 entries but that's because they need to make sure this massive contest fills up). I have never played an MMA contest at DK with anybody that had more then 20 entries, they always keep the multiple entries low.
