10-07 College Football Picks
Best Pick Record = 5-0
Strong Pick Record = 5-2
Regular Pick = 2-1
--------------------------------------------
Penn State @ Minnesota
Best Bet = UNDER 48.5
This a a pretty big Big Ten rivalry, and both
of these teams are gonna play smash mouth
football. Penn State's defense is solid as
well, and I don't see them giving up more
than 20. Penn State's starting QB Anthony
Morelli is playing with a sore hand, so
this could sway JoePa to keep the ball on the
ground and ware down the clock to get his
starting QB through this one without hurting
himself even more.
---------------------------------------------
Oklahoma @ Texas
Best Bet = Texas -4
Lets not forget that the Longhorns are the
defending champs. Not sure why they're not
getting respect with a -4 line at home.
The Sooners are a potent offensive team, but
this Texas D should have some success at
stopping them. Just saw that Oklahoma's QB
is playing with a bum ankle as well, and
could be pulled if it affects his game.
--------------------------------------------
Pittsburgh @ Syracuse
Strong Pick = Pittsburgh -6.5
Pitt is having a good season, and showed
last week by crushing Toledo that they're
back after a letdown season last year. The
Orangemen will be a descent team next year,
but will struggle against better teams then
them, even at home. I see this line some
places at -6.5, and some at -7, so check
before you choose, I feel alot stronger
with this pick with the half point.
--------------------------------------------
Penn State @ Minnesota
Strong Pick = Penn State - 2.5
I've watched every Penn State game this year
and this is a good team. They're only 2
losses were to teams ranked in the top 3.
Minnesota is an average team at best in my
opinion. They'll probably hang around in this
one for awhile, but Penn State will close it
out. The only thing keeping me from making
this a best pick is that I heard on a local
radio show that the Lions starting QB,
Anthony Morelli, hurt his non throwing hand
in practice this week.
---------------------------------------------
Michigan State @ Michigan
Strong Pick = Michigan -15
Michigan State seemed to throw the white flag
on their season last week after a huge upset
to Illinois. Michigan is going to be the
state bully in this one, and kick the
spartans while they're down.
---------------------------------------------
Tennessee @ Georgia
Regular Pick = Tennessee - 2
The Vols are better on both sides of the ball
than Georgia. It's in Georgia, so anything
could happen but Tennessee is a well balanced
team and will prevail in this one.
---------------------------------------------
Oregon @ California
Regular Pick = California -4.5
I'll keep riding Cal till they give me a
reason not to. This offense is as explosive
as any in the country right now. Oregon is
a very good team and will be playing hard,
but this Cal offense will prove to be to
much for them.
---------------------------------------------
Navy @ Air Force
Regular Pick = Air Force -2
Don't know much about these teams, but I do
know I watched some of an Air Force game a
few weeks ago and was very impressed. I'll
take a chance on Air Force here.
