Ugh, just found out Potts is going to play Sat because Sheffield is hurt. Not feeling great about my play. On the other hand it may give the O a different kind of spark with him wanting to make a good impression.

Ouch, Potts still isn't cleared to play saturday. He may end up playing but right now it looks like the 3rd string qb. Looks like I'll be buying back my play. If Potts plays then I'll keep it, if I find out he's not playing I'll be eating some juice.

Thanks LDB. I think I may need some luck, I make my second biggest play of the season before finding out Tech may be down to their 3rd string qb. That's not something that makes me feel good.

I still think Tech wins by 25+ min no matter who plays qb. If Potts plays it might be an even better play than if Sheffield would have started just because Potts is going to try and make a statement.(I guess this could be bad as well)

it has been proven that these qbs for tex. tech are system qbs more than anything else....potts backup, sheffield is averaging 254 yd per game, at a 75% completion % & has a 12-2 td/int ratio....so i think there will not be any drop off in qb production....

good luck....

AR, there will be some drop off I'm just not sure how much. The problem with Potts is that he is so stiff and doedn't move around very well. The O line of Tech isn't as good as last year and needs the qb to move some here and there. Potts can get the job done but the O doesn't flow near as well with him at the helm.

If Seth Doedge(spelling) has to start they may be in trouble. He hasn't played football since his sophmore year in high school(knee surgeries both his junior and senior year). He did play some in the NM game but not much and looked shaky at best.

Potts is going to play and from what I've heard he could have plaed vs Nebraska so there should be no problems with A&M. Potts starting is a good thing for covering this line. He knows he needs to do well the next couple of games or else he's done starting for the rest of his Tech career.(he's probably done anyway)

Tech will roll in this game by 30+. 3 units is a big play for me with this big of a spread but if you know Tech then you know they hate the aggies and it's not just another game for them.

JT, I actually like BYU in this game. I'm not taking anything because 3 units out there in football is enough for me.

I like playing on TCU but the one time I don't is conference road games. BYU is a good team and IMO better than any other team TCU has faced on the road this year. The fact that you can take a good team as a home conference dog makes it a good play. If I was to play more than just Tech this week it wouldn't be on this game. This game is too close to call but if you bought it up to 3 from 2.5 I think you would have a good chance of winning.
