for starters, i simply cannot wait for saturday. i will post picks/opinions for all BC races tomorrow night. but, just a thought for now.

take advantage of overseas books that offer matchups. i.e., 3 horses v. halfbridled. with halfbridled at +120. here's my point... you now the morning line on halfbridled (7/5). if your interest is in betting this horse to win, the horse must beat the field - right? trust me, you aren't going to get 7/5 on this horse come post time. 3/5 is what i'm thinking, regardless of the post. now, what odds do you want? again, 13 other horses, forget the post - if your betting to win... worst case, in not winning, your running to beat 3 others.

there are quite a few similar matchup scenarios that i believe are worth a hard look.

i'll be going for a price in the sprint. the filly and mare turf lineup is incredible. heat haze gets bailey. two o'brien horses. three frankels. two juddmonte owned and bred. and, that horse called islington... cuvee in the juvenile same as halfbridled mentioned above. tough posts for both the 2-year olds... of course, the foreigners in the turf (high chapparal). can't help with the classic. doubt i will be able to at post time either. imagine if mineshaft was in the mix...

here we go...

here we go...

i can taste that early bloody mary already. i'm listing my favorite first and descending...

Distaff:

Sightseek, Got Koko, Take Charge Lady. Sightseek and Got Koko look to be the exacta box. Watch the board and hope for better than an even money return. I would say Sightseek cold but, the three 2nd place finishes at this track...

Juvenile Fillies:

Halfbridled. I could care less about the post. Forest Music is the price play. Of course, Class Above should be there.

Mile:

Six Perfections, Peace Rules, Special Ring, Refuse to Bend. If Peace Rules is getting 10/1, don't ignore to win.

Sprint:

Aldebaran. yeah, yeah, the distance... Bluesthestandard, Valid Video, Cajun Beat.

Filly and Mare Turf:

This race is going to be great. Exacta box the following; Heat Haze, Islington and Tates Creek.

Juvenile:

Going against Cuvee and the post. Shop for a good price here. This will be a $13+ winner. Not excited about suggesting much but - Tiger Hunt and Minister Eric look good at a price.

Turf:

High Chaparral, Storming Home (same bet as Distaff).

Classic:

Difficult to cap. Not that excited about any of the 3 year olds in here (Ten Most is the best of them)... Not that excited about laying 3/1 or less. I guess I'll go with Frankel capping off a great day - Medaglia d'Oro. But, this horse has a tendency to disapoint. Why am I also considering Volponi and Dynever? Hold that Tiger shoud not be ignored. Why do I also think Perfect Drift is ready to "bounce" one?
