Ten + 3

While the 'emotional' factors lean to Pittsburgh, with the public showcase of their new stadium on national TV and all, I don't put much stock in this type of thing.

I also don't think that Pitt can exploit the weaker than expected this year Tenn defense. I look for a big game out of the Tennessee defense and an decent enough game from George and the Tenn offense to win a close, defensive-minded battle.

4-1 vs 2-4, yet I don't feel that one team is better than the other. In fact, with a gun to my head, I would submit that the Titans finish with a better record than the Steelers. I believe that they are the better team and should show it in this game.

In what seems to be a 'field-goal either way' game, gimme the points.

I think you are right on target. In fact, I would go a step further and say that the moneyline is worth a look as well. I'd suggest you check it out and maybe place a few of your dollars on the moneyline to try to pick up a little extra.

I agree, and frankly, when I am on a dog of 3 or less points I usually am also on the ML. I only post the play with the spread, but I agree with you that it's generally good strategy to be on the ML as well in these situations. A lot of books won't let you do it (if it's less than 3), but a lot will.

Dr. Freeze,

Could be, but it takes an awful lot for the books to move off of the three. Maybe SIA or someplace like that, but I doubt that the consensus line will end up at 3 1/2. But you never know.

Good luck tonight with Tenn. You are going to need it. Pittsburgh is 8-0 on Monday night with Cowher. They haven't played on Monday night in 2 years and that new stadium will be rocking. Pitt is definately the better team with a better offensive and defensive line. Look for a low scoring game.
