PURDUE +24

REASONS vs. ILLINOIS

PUR 5-1-1 ATS since 2001
PUR 6-2 ATS @ ILL since 1998
ILL 4-8-2 ATS as DD FAV. this season

ASSISTANT COACH FACTOR
Bruce Webber worked under Gene Keady for 18 seasons. Keady is making his final swan songs at all the big 10 arenas, who actually thinks Webber will run it up and run Keady back to W. Lafayette....I dont....i am willing to gamble on these factors and actually lay a pretty large chunk of change....

looking at a 12-16 point loss here......so jump on board theres plenty of room on the Gene Keady "Hair"-A-Van.......we're going to the BANK

Purdue may actually win......crazier things of happen.... :scared

lay soome feedback on me.....talk me out of this i dare you...haha

Purdue has no chance of winning at all! I am now 15-4 on sides totals/ fh and 2nd half plays on the Illini this year. Purdue is without their leading scorer and the Big Tens leading scorer in Carl Landry. He averages almost 19 points per game and leads the team in rebounds and blocked shots. He went down last Saturday with a torn ACL and is done for the season. That is the reason why the line is so high. I dont know if Illinois will cover the spread for the reasons mentioned above but if Purdue is only able to score 50 points which is what I think they will score (at most), then the Illini have to score less than 74 which will be close too. I am playing Illinois if the FH and the game under and FH under. Without their leading scorer and at Assembly hall Purdue will struggle offensively. Illinois will play their normal swarming defense with a little added intensity as it is their last home game this year. Illinois will be up at half 40-24 and wins 74-51 is my prediction. Good luck with your plays

Angle is sound but Purdue is so poor I was expecting this line to be in the late 20's.

I'm thinking betting the 2nd half on Purdue. Illinois is more likely to be leading by double digits and knowing Purdue isn't a threat I suspect they will go to the bench early.

Despite losing key players, you can never understimate how a team will respond. Some will pull together despite all odds and cover the spread...others never show up. I have wagered and lost many times betting against a team with the lost of a key player.

In any case, I hope you win, ohiotonyp. Possibly going to need some backdoor cover mojo here. :D Go Boilermakers!! LOL

anybody taking the 2nd half plunge ?

if original logic does hold true (weber will call dogs off on keady) then 2h is almost obligatory play. im at for a small amount at +6.5

I am going to start praying for a 2H Illinois collapse. They are hitting 3's like there's no tomorrow. Need that backdoor cover mojo NOW!!!
